A Few Spots From Poland & Germany

As I spent Christmas in Poland and New Year in Germany I though I'd show you a few of my spots, I was disappointed by the quality of tat on offer on Poland, the FSO seems to be getting thin on the ground.

Poland seems to be awash with these, badged as a Daewoo Tico although appears to be a re-badged Daihatsu Domino.

it must be the top-of-the range coz its got a spoiler (eagle-eyed viewers will spot my accord behind.

Masses of Cinqs/Seicentos and Pandas on the Roads-as they were made by Fiat in Poland-I didn't realise they made any fiats there after the 126. Check out this povo-spec Panda-like the bumpers, no touch-up paint needed on these puppies.

The Pyramid Hotel is a five star hotel...smack bang in the arse-end of nowhere it would seem. Not sure I understand why they located it here.

I took this pic because I don't belive we got this version of the Civic, in fact I don't think I had seen one before as we had the re-hashed Rover 400 Hatchback, the 3-door hatch, the 2-door coupe and the Aerodeck estate. This has the same front end as the 3-door hatch we got in the UK.

Having said all the there was one exactly the same parked next to our drive in Jersey on my return from driving back from Germany

Mitsubishi keeping it company

Bus-shite, scared the living crap out of me when it passed as they're connected to the mains above and sparks and noises were happening, I think that they are electric-I did ask my missus but as always I wasn't listening to her reply, You what dear?

This is grade A, under the counter class shite, its called a Żuk with the Z pronounced as in Zsa Zsa Gabor. According to Wikipedia the Żuk was a van produced in Lublin, Poland, between 1958 and 1997 by FSC. It was based indirectly on a Russian passenger car. I risked life and limb photographing this.

Typical Polish scene in the industrialised South, they still mine for coal. And yes that is a Tico on the road further up.

Posted Image

Another scene, I took this because if you look closely and wipe the snot/jism/detritus from your monitors you can make out a skoda next to an FSO Polonez next to a Fiat 126 next to a Grandad next to a Mazda that I can't remember what its called WOWOWOW!:shock::shock::shock: bonus surely I must win some sort of prize for this pic?? anyone?

lurking in the background is a Pug 405, another 126 and a panda.

Thats an Uno crammed to the roof with Polaks about to drive-by....slowly.

Saw a few Rover 75s of which this is plainly NOT one of them.

Posted Image

Modern stuff making a big appearance there as new money floods into the economy. Fair play, Poland is a bleak country I find.

Posted Image

another 126

Posted Image

they love to drive these at 20mph on the motorways

Posted Image

Longer Fabia (Labia? )

Posted Image

Another typical street shot-I think that Poland and Germany and most other european countries will just become a big moving mass of VAG cars-thats all they drive.

Posted Image

Ahem  did see this Mazda 323

Posted Image

190 Merc

Posted Image

The 126 is known there as a Maluch which means little kid, if you look closely somebody has mounted an aerial onto the front RH bumper corner, plainly as there is no radio this can only be because whoever last owned it thought that it was just a little too big to park-WTF???????:roll:

See

As the little twin cylinder air-cooled jobbie is in the boot, where on earth are you supposed to stash your daily intake of 39 bottles of Vodka?

And it was nice to have a white Christmas, this was my trusty Accord that I purchased and drove me 3000 miles without batting an eyelid.

Now onto Germany, the lack of pictures is down to the lack of old crappers left on the roads due to some silly German Vehicle Laws and the fact I wasn't there all that long.

I did see a few of these Carltons both pre and post faceift, in fact more than I've seen in the UK over the last few years

Only saw one Senator though-not complaining as its more than I see in Jersey, was too slow to photograph it though.

As a T25 owner I thought I'd be in T25 (sorry-T3) mecca whilst I was there but hardly saw any-again I think this is down to the strict vehcile licencing laws involving emssions and cat converters and tax.

Almost shit meself when I saw this but alas it was 'just' a massive museum called the Auto & Technik Museum in Sinsheim, Germany, its filled with classic and racing cars and planes, not a Rover in sight though. Nice Merc W124 E-class-not mine unfortunately.

Plane Shite

Just infront of Concord there is the only Russian Concord nicked named Concordski aka Tupolev tu-144 outside of Russia, you can go inside these planes but bizzarely they are mounted at take-off angle so its quite a hike to the cockpit-susprising in these health 'n saftey times. I have pics of the big Ruski but on my camera not my phone-basically I can't be arsed sorting them out just yet.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc311/shite_meister/TAT/DSC00851.jpg

I want this, even though its a 200D and as colc told me probably slower than walking, It is tat because the interior was ripped and the paint was faded but in luuuuuuuuuuuuurvly condition.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc311/shite_meister/TAT/DSC00856.jpg

Speaking of Colc and Mercs i've just bought a 190 off him, this isn't it though so make of that what you will.

I must apologise for the small pics, they were taken on my phone and photobouquet must have compressed them more than I thought. If its a problem A-Stop masturbating so much and B-get over it.

Thank you ladies and Gents.

Thanks, that merc was my top pick of the trip, I was taking pictures of it for so long that my missus and my brother & his family got fed up and walked off leaving me completely lost! Was suprised at how many Germans make the effort to speak English-I always like to try but learning French and Polish is more than I can handle at the same time and I end up coming out in a gibberish hybrid language.

Gr8 shot, if you crop it slightly it could almost pass for a Glasgow high-rise suburb a few years ago. Mazda is a mid-late-90s 323 innit?

I find them a bit grim to be honest, but in an almost interesting way as most of the old buildings are from the comunist times. Fortunately I was staying in missus' family house out in the sticks playing fantasy 'how many cars could I park on that bit of land'

Mazda is a mid-late-90s 323 innit?

I thought it was but when I tried searching for a pic I couldn't find one, dont look too bad from the side that-I was about to say they look horrible too.

Polish missus?

Aye lad, less hassle than Jersey/English women, just have to travel to Poland once every so often.
