JohnK
1997 'P' BMW 318iS AutoMOT - Jan 2016121,000 Starts and runs really well, drives great too - auto box changes up and down smoothly in all modes and kicks down well no clunks or bangs from steering/suspension etc. Exterior is in really good condition, has 16" alloys from an E46 all with excellent Uniroyal Rainsport tyres and loads of tread. Interior has grey leather, everything works inc air con, climate control, electric windows, CD player etc. I literally did just buy this to get home in yesterday but I'm quite impressed with it really. I've done about 200 miles in it getting home and running about today and I will probably still use it for the rest of the week. Just looking to get back what I've paid out which is purchase price + fixing niggles today, including a new thermostat and rectifying the brake warning and airbag lights showing. £500. A part ex or swap is always a possibility. Alanism, Shep Shepherd and cort16
cort16
Very nice. That looks really clean. These 3's are a nice drive and they go well with that motor without mega glug glug MPG.
Cavcraft
That does look really nice. Smart colour, smart alloys and nice inside.
JohnK
I used to have a K reg 320i auto coupe and in the real world the only differences here are the lack of 6 pot noise and quite a noticeable increase in economy. It's a nice drive and tbh I would consider keeping it if I didn't want the cash for something else.
320touring
Is this still the m42 or the m44?
JohnK
It's the M44 in this one mate
EssDeeWon
I had one of these before the 75, it was a gr9 motor and could not fault it really. I believe its still in the AS fold somewhere... Those E36 misted front lights are an easy fix, just unclip the main beam bulb cover and leave it open, the heat from the engine will clear those front lamps within half hour. I always left mine unclipped, they wont go anywhere.
laser wheels
How is it looking on the rust front? Looks nice in the pics mind you. I'll send you a PM as I may be interested...
JohnK
Arches and door bottoms are all totally solid. Slight bubble on side skirt which I've had a fiddle with today and cleaned up, was just surface. No rust based advisories on the MOT - I will do an MoT history check now as well though. PM replied to. laser wheels
JohnK
MOT history looks clear on any corrosion front. Happy to get it in the air and get underside photos if people require and also pics of any specific areas. laser wheels
laser wheels
All sounds good to me, as long as it was fine at MOT time I'm guessing it won't fall apart around me in the next 6 months. PM replied too! Jim Bell

EssDeeWon
Nice one Laser, I had two of these and both had done 100k+, felt very well screwed together and never had a single issue with either, and to be honest both felt like they had plenty of life left in them, hense why there are still plenty of E36's knocking about I suppose. See my above post if you want the front lights de-misted. The ultimate driving machine n' all that. laser wheels
