mnde
Recently, several times I've spotted two lovely old cars not far from home on my morning journey to work, being driven by young ladies. A blue K reg Viva and a white R reg Triumph Toledo with pink fluffy dice. Both cars are in nice condition. I saw the Toledo in a carpark last week looking very clean, but it was a bit grubby when I saw it drive down my road yesterday. The Viva passed me going in the opposite direction this morning - I've seen it several times on the same stretch of road. Daily drivers. In winter. I salute them! I often see young ladies driving old Beetles, but seeing the Viva or Toledo always makes me smile inside (I don't grin at them or wave or anything!)It makes me think: is it a hand-me-down car from grandparents? Where do they get work done? Do they have dads or uncles (or boyfriends) who are handy with spanners and welding? Do they work on the car themselves? Either way, I think it's very refreshing!Has anyone else spotted any young lady drivers behind the wheel of old tin? I used to work with a girl who had a hand-me-down brown Princess, and a couple of years ago, another who drove a very early Sierra Laser!Cheers,Mark. M'coli
There's a young woman drives about near me in a 5 door Rover Metro J plate, she's had it at least 2 years, and I'm please to say, looks as if she'd had it pumped up recently. I've spoken to her in the past, and she really likes it.
Guest Kyle
There's a very pretty/horny looking young lady around here who drives a floppy top Super Minx. She dresses in all period gear too, even down to her sunglasses, and wears one of those 60's white leather hats. She looks just like something straight out of Carnaby Street.Yes, she wears the leather f*ck me boots, too.I WILL get a pic... mk2_craig
Girl I knew some years back had a tidy but hardly concours Herald estate as her first car, which was at odds with the Corsas and Fiesta mk3s of her contemporaries.I also frequently see (but haven't photographed yet) an early and very smart low spec mk2 Fiesta which a young lady has brought into the island from the UK within the last couple of years. I will probably end up making her an offer for it before it starts rusting.
j-j
Went to uni with a girl who drove an old (you guessed it) beetle but when the heating ducts or whatever it is came undone she knew how to fix it!
binhoker668
I happen to know a fantastic young lady in Leeds, with a MINT 80s Corolla, an early 80s campervan of dubious engine and a wardrobe to match. She has been under strict orders to sign up here for quite a while. No luck as yet. Mr Volks? We need to step up the pressure....

Mr_Bo11ox
Fuggin hell My Mrs oughta start carryin a few tools in her handbag instead of the usual 'woman' guff that she always carts round - lipstick, pepper spray, nunchaka, PTFE tape, canesten cream etc.
Guest
I see absolutely nothing round here I'm afraid, just the occasional granny piloting a MK1 Micra or MK2 Fiesta. If I saw something like a Hyundai Stellar (low-spec one in brown) being piloted by some tasty young lady I think I'd probably lose control of my car and plough through a bus queue or something, so it's probably for the best that they don't. Bints of raggable age round here seem to be either dizzy twats with an 07-reg KA or haggard-faced slappers with a triple pushchair full of screeching sticky-faced future dole-budgers. MrRegieRitmo
Within the last few years in Chichester I saw a young female driving a 'dare to be different' white A reg Renault 4. I couldn't drive at the time & was getting a lift with my also young female colleague in her E reg MkII Micra. When I pointed out the R4 in front of us at the junction, she exclaimed that 'it was quite cool'! Also used to see a youngish girl in a white N reg Daf 55 Variomatic! Torsten2001
Birds that drive big old saloons, ie XJ6, Mercs etc I find very attractive.Birds that ride proper bikes, ie pre Hinckley Triumphs and Nortons give me the serious dusk.My Mrs has a CLK she looks good in it but as I've told everyone, she hates old tat.alas it's all in the mind as there's no qualifying wimmin 'round these parts! reallyloud
I actually bought a car I spotted being driven by a bird. The fact that I was out of breath, excitable and frothy when I managed to catch her up when she stopped to fuel up, didn't do me any favours initially. Fortunately her boyfriend contacted me about a year later and £75 swapped hands for this beast.  To be honest I don't really remember much about the girl. When I started driving in the early 90's there obviously would have been more girls driving shite - at my college, I recall students driving Visas, 104s, mk1 civics, Fiat 127s (and the car park was rammed full of W/X reg metros) etc but there was one honey who hacked around in a Datsun 1200 - I guess its all relative, as those cars would have been 20 or so years old then. A girl I used to go out with owned Dolomite Sprint and replaced that with a Rover 3500.  Most older cars, bar the odd mini or beetle seems be driven by guys around here. Split_Pin
Birds that drive proper shite are majorly attractive. Sadly there are very few like that round here. Any bird that has a passing interest in cars up here always drives a silver 106 quicksilver with playboy stickers everywhere.Theres a girl in my car club who recently bought a Belmont but shes engaged to the club owner but at least he drives a MK2 Cav convertible (Hes a sound bloke anyway)Anyone remember Salvage Squad?? There was a bird in that, who although not proper fit, looked on screen as if she was fairly handy with a spanner/welder etc. I remember one episode where she was arguing with an old boy about whether to replace parts of the dented chassis on a Scammell Scarab or keep them original. She actually gave a shit about stuff like that

We chatted Heralds when I was around during the Amphicar filming. She worked at a museum near Brighton called the "Engineerium" but it closed before we got a chance to go down there.
Father Ted
My wife knows fuck all about the oily bits on cars, but amazes me with her ability to jump in and pilot pretty much anything from a mini to a big feck orf UniMog that her grandfather used on the farm - she can even (without breaking a sweat) reverse cars, vans and tractors with trailers into very tight spots. She also has a smashing set of tits.

Still on its Irish plates (it is probably still on them even though this was months ago)Â Â We swapped cars and drove to her house the day this picture was taken. the car is really nice. Quite nippy, good steering, a really nice car. Was owned by a mechanic in Ireland (a mutual friends grandad) till he died or was karted off to a home or something. Reasonably low mileage for a car that age but in fab nic. Wunderbar!
mk2_craig
Nice, just like one a mate had years ago until he blew the autobox. Probably find that it was a UK car when new and later imported to Ireland, as I don't think the 85-D-xxxx format came in until later in the 1980s, if you catch my drift. Rocket88
my other half will not drive "shitty little hatchbacks" as she so accuratley describes them. Since I've known her, she's had; Peugeot 505 GTI, Peugeot 405, Volvo 740, Volvo 850, Jag XJ40, Lexus LS400, and now a Jag XJR.
Pete-M
There's a girl in her mid 20's around here who I keep seeing in an early '70s chrome bumper Porsche 911. The 911 looks 'used' but she looks very, very cute indeed. So, cute girl in 911 who drives around Sefton Park in Liverpool, keep an eye out for a balding git in a black E30 Touring - he wants to violate ya
