How is Junior Womble getting on with driving since passing his test?

Still mashing the clutch on the Picasso & revving the arse off it.

I still think he would be better in an auto. Otherwise OK thank you for asking. Contemplating a Panda for him.

clutch control is one of those things I really look forward to learning :) as the idea of going forward and stopping is something I had plenty of play with (riding bikes and playing video games) but nothing ever does clutch control, until your actually in a car with a clutch if that makes any sense....

Sunglasses holder is in the fuse box lid - a deeeeeeep pocket to hold your glasses and nick nacks.

AHH ok my fuse box lid doesn't look large enough for glasses. Will try it though!

Anyone else think this sounds like the thrust bearing going for a Burton?

About 13 sec's the missus puts the clutch in & the sound gets notably better. Its not got a DMF of doom.

We've all been there.

One of the lads has just passed his test at 36 years old after becoming a dad and feeling the need, he did the test in an automatic and got a licence restricting him to autos thus avoiding the new driver clutch burnout phenomenon.

In short he solved this by purchasing a Polo GTi with the DSG auto box which promptly shat itself (As they do) within two months, it's funny how it all works out.

Hate to say it but from the sound on the video, yes.

Clattery sound actually gets worse when clutch put in though not much.

Initially ok when cold then gets going about 4 or 5 miles into a journey. Selects all gears OK but occasionally wont come out of reverse (lever does, gearbox doesnt...)

Various opinions from new clutch needed m8 to Its fooking fooked m8 big time. Does seem to be an issue on some 20BM17 gearboxes that they shit the input shaft bearings.
