2004 04 Peugeot 206 1.4HDi.

100,000 miles.

MOT 31st May

Taxed end of May (we can talk about that)

£30 per year road tax.

Power steering.

Abso-fucking-lutely MEGA on fuel, I can squeeze 65mpg out of it and I reckon it'll do a little more.

5 doors

Supposedly had a new clutch and cam belt before we got it, no proof of this though so take it with a pinch of sale.

Really clean/tidy car, used most days.

Right, here's the rub:

I reckon it wants a wheel bearing/s on the front as there's a sort of a drone coming from the front over about 35mph.

It can be a bastard to start when cold.

Only one key, the 'non-remote' one but door lock/open and the ignition works.

The EML has just come on, will try and investigate before it goes.

It'll need a service I reckon.

Now, market value for this mileage etc would seem to be a good £1,000 upwards, some are quite a bit more than this.  Those well known good eggs and fair price specialists WBAC have valued it at £645, and I'd have thought there was a fighting chance it'd hit that or perhaps more at a real life car auction.

Based on that I'd like £650 for it, I honestly believe that's a very very fair price so as per I don't want to see any serious 'whats your best price price?' questions, especially before viewing.

I just can't be arsed with it anymore and thus is sold as it stands, I cannot stress enough that any inspection is welcomed. If you live miles away, then feel free to ask anyone you like who lives closer to inspect it on your behalf and report back to you.

It's a sort of joint enterprise with little Miss Craft and (you're going to love* this) she would prefer a V**xh*ll instead, SO...we'd do a deal with a similar priced or cheaper 1.0 or 1.2 manual Corsa C. If it's a silver one you'll be half way there without trying.

Do all rush at once, we want this gone pretty handy!

Despite my pathological hatred of the 206 Im almost tempted as a WBOD at that price even with its "faults".

That said I only have the MIL's ex 206 which I struggled to attain anything amounting to a comfortable driving position to compare and I only had that for a few days. Possibly the Islamabad Taxi beaded seat cover and numerous religious artefacts didnt help.

Did they come in any other colour? These 1.4/1.6 HDi's need the oil changing regularly for the correct semisynthetic jizz or they clog up, may be the cause of the EML.

GLWTS.

Nobs to that

That means that in 8 years time my 206 will have only devalued £510, just £63.75 PER YEAR! Yes, that's only £5.31 per month or about 18p per day. Obviously, it's a Peugeot so it'll never* go wrong either.
