£200 was an outrageous steal. I don't think £400 is unfair either, though I guess folk might struggle to have that much spare just at the moment. I know I am or I would have snapped it up. It's ideal.

Well it's still on his drive. I haven't seen him to speak to for a week or so. I will try and catch him over the weekend. I have his email address if anyone wants it. Plus can help with lifts etc.

In spite of an initial valuation of £200 I offered £250, I was told I could buy it for £300 but declined. Has anybody offered £300 and been turned down!.

I initially spoke to the seller just after Mr. Six-cylinder, I was told that £350 would buy it, however I asked a few questions and found that the MOT was only until 26th April so declined to make an offer.

Spool on a couple of weeks and having not found anything else I decided to go for it if could be bought for under the magic 3.

Maybe he follows the PandaSelecta (blue form) price grading. It'll probably crash to £150, then back up to £350 before anyone has chance to act.

Once someone suggests a price then increases it because there seems to a bit of demand, it's time to walk away.

 

No kidding, I've walked away from so many deals where the vendor had got greedy, I've lost count. A lot of them were still bargains but a deal is a deal and people should be principled.

This reminds me of that tredia turbo I tried to buy, the price kept rising until it ended up selling on Ebay for less than I offered then disappeared abroad
