A nice Military 88 chassis Long range (With lpg or compressor tank in place of 2nd tank) Series 3 FFR 24V ( no position for underbonnet batteries, therefore a pair between the seats.) Identifiable as S3 by the perpendicular front brake hose brackets and extra length reinforcing on the front dumbirons, Military by the square rear crossmember and oil cooler mounted on the chassis and the fact it has provision for LHD and the second tank mount , also the seat belt mounts on the body member behind the seats are a bit of a giveaway. I reckon somewhere between 1979 and 1983.....I thank you!

That Fiat 124 is magnificent, love to know how on earth this car survived. That Passat saloon is interesting too, the only ones I've seen in recent times are the estate models, usually with polish number plates and loaded up with building materials. I know VW badged the first saloons as the Santana, and revert back to the pissrat name a few years later - I can only assume they were trying to differentiate the 2 models, but we weren't fooled. The mk4 cortina is exactly how I remember them back in the day.

Decided to venture north of the river then eh? If I'd known you were around you could have popped in for a cuppa; those Audi coupes are in the next village to mine!I first saw the Cav Sportshatch at a dealers in Hull and I've been trying to catch it for a while in the area. Maestro is a honey and was a minter but gets used in all weathers but still tidy.I haven't seen the Cortina before, there was a blue one in Beverley for a while but that disappeared a few years back. Fiat 124 is a new on on me.Great haul there and saved me a job or two! :lol:EDIT: Just noticed that my mum and dad's friends used to live at the house where the Cav now resides! Small world.

Plate on the Fiat would be excellent for me! Started its life round this way too, though a long time ago I'd imagine. The Cortina is fantastic, like DC says just as they would have been 15-20 years ago. Can't help thinking the Cavalier would look even nicer on its original rostyles and trim rings.Comedy badge overload and olde-worlde foglights on the Sunny.

Take it 'AG' is a Grimsby number then?

Hull, as from 1974 reshuffle. Also AT, RH and KH the three original marks. BT and WF for East Riding (Beverley area) up to 1974 then all changed to Hull marks after that. I'd love an old car with a local number but they're always the wrong car or the wrong time for me  Nice that the Cortina still has its Crystal Ford dealer sticker 8)
