Epic Escort Estate Emporium

Can we not all chip in a couple of quid and have it as an Autoshite pool car? ...

...or cover it in AS logo stickers and fill the boot with horse shit and just drive it around doing 38 in a 40 to piss of Audi drivers, and just when their A5 is on the rear bumper the boot is released, (operated by a special custom fitted lever, bit like a choke in an 80s Escort)

..or use it to park down the side of nearly new BMW's where the owners park across 2 parking bays, obvs in tight situations the boot could be used to climb out of

Can't a few selected shiters enter the scumball Dickinson Mosher rally or the escorts to Estonia endurance cluster fuck and give this fine steed the Viking burial it deserves?

Just a few beer vouchers from each of the appointed crew could see Autoshite's profile raised by many per cents amongst the interesting and frankly hilarious types who participate in such events?

The 3/10 sex pigeons said put it on Scumtree, so I have. I await offers of 80 quid tonite mate/X Box swappage or offers of a dubious sexual nature. Sigh.

The car has a weeks reprieve. If no salee then parts will be removed and what remains will be bridged.

I've tried, I really have.

This has to be a first for me. A car that I cannot sell. This is never happened before. I'm really sorry. It isn't you, I just don't know what happened. Maybe we can try again later.

Sorry to bang on, like, but if this car was a first date the prospective bird would be in a taxi home alone, shaking uncontrollably and the Escort would be post hand shandy in the back car park of the Duck & Bastard as the sirens grew ever nearer.

Tbh no matter what's written above I would actually buy this car! I've even got the money and somewhere to put it, BUT, I'm not messing about paying £50odd to get it registered and it will cost me about another £100 to get it back to Yorkshire. This coupled with the high scrap value means I'm sort of out.

In all fairness they're not too bad to drive and for a couple of hundred quid you could do worse. I bought one from CAVCRAFT just to stuff full of junk and tow a trailer with and it coped very well indeed. IIRC I even made about £120 profit in it when I punted it on.

These do handle very good indeed. My mate used to outrun faster cars round corners with his parent's late s plate 1.3. He even outran my other pal's Puma but that was more to do with his foolishness as my pal backed off . Nevertheless the car stayed on the road, just! A black bumper Encore model with a 1.3 Endura e it Endura D would be grim, but ace.

In general, these Escrotes aren't too bad, I reckon. But this one's just too much trouble. Jersey registered, never been MOT'd showing visible signs of grot. They aren't rare enough to be interesting or financially viable, yet, and won't be until a few more get baled.

Verdict: do your bit for OSF tax, and weigh the fucker. You can't save them all, and frankly, a lot of them just aren't worth saving.

Well, as I said it's on Glumtree and will be a week before it gets scrapped if no takers. Bits will be removed as requested and the rest crushed.

If the volunteer dog taxi thing would have happened this would have been perfect and I'd have fixed the rusty blebs slowly but surely. £55 wouldn't have broken the bank and an MOT would have been no real issue.

It drives beautifully. I know not all of them are worth saving but........

These cars are just inexcusable, soz, the only thing to do with them is crush the whole sorry lot of the last ones remaining.

I have to agree. I know mine was an exceptionally bad example but things went wrong with that car (newest and most expensive car I've ever owned) that I have never experienced before or since in 27 years of owning rubbish cars. Every single bit of it was precisely engineered to be not quite up to the job.
