Epic Escort Estate Emporium

Riiight, get yerselves a genuine bit of Escort estate-shite in 5spd manual 16V Ghia flavour.

This delicious bit of Jersey originating Ford happiness boasts the following working bits:

Electric windows, C/L, front and rear wash/wipe, front and rear foglights, electric mirrors, towbar fitting, CD player and working A/C!!!!

It has history (don't we all). 3 original keys including a red one. It is silver with a blue/grey velour-tastic interior.

It is on a Jersey plate and will need a UK MOT and registering which seems pretty straightforward.

The mileage is a genuine sub 40, 000 miles from new. I am sure ColC will provide the exact correct mileage details as I forgot to write them down.

The Ford alloys are tidy and the tyres good. This little Ford happily trundled all the way from Jersey to Yoevil and from Yoevil to Essex without a murmur or hint of complaint.

The photos will show the scabby bits, there are a few but I don't believe that any of them are terminal. This is a well-specced load-lugging get-you-by kind of car that will make dogs howl and babies cry. It is unlikely to enhance your sex appeal in any kind of positive way. I cannot of course guarantee this.

The car is now in Essex, not too far from Chelmsford. I have the 3 keys and ColC will be sending me the logbook ASAP.

How much for this worthy little Escort I hear you ask? How about £200? OVNO.

The new owner will of course be the one to do all of the registration gubbins once the V5C has been filled in.

Sadly failure to sell will result in the car being taken over the Rainbow Bridge as I cannot keep it in storage for more than a couple of weeks at best.

Bridge money or sale funds will go to ColC.

Here's the pictures:

There are also a few scabs along the sill top by the sill plate on the drivers side. Other scuff, scratches and scrapes are present.

None of this looks terminal at all, just unsightly sadly.

Please PM ColC for more info, etc. Weekends are best for collection.

Thanks

Ken

I cannot see anyone ever wanting this on here unless they are setting up as a shit decorator. Volksy had one he got off his parents mate that was in nicer condition that this with 12 months MOT and he ended up just bridging it as he could not shift it at all (although it was MINGING inside, he spent a whole day cleaning it).

GLWTS etc but I think this has got to be one of the least loved cars you will find. I would suggest wanging it on Autotrader as that it where it will sell.

Looking at the car unless it sells here or by word of mouth it will be bean cans.

I would'nt even entertain the thought of mongtree / ebay - even at £200 you know the tossers will complain about the rust and that they will have to spend £££ getting Marek at the local eastern European car wash to clean it.

I think people are being a bit harsh here, going on about scrapping it and all that.

That's it thought you can get good* money scrap. I'm miles away and a lazy shite that cba with doing the paperwork and will cost me a fortune in petrol for a car thats worth £200 even after I messed with it.

Saying that, I'm that lazy I would probably just stick it on eBay as is, after I'd driven it for a week cause I've got nowhere to put it.

So to conclude: I'm too lazy but GLWTS :-)

Scrap prices poor at the moment, if you have room/can be arsed I'd sit on it a few more weeks yet. As a rule, locally at least Cartakeback pay the most, and it's the work of but a mere two minutes on a pc to get a quote.

It is a shame as it is well equipped and has a trifling amount of miles on the clock.

Shame is looks more tired than it should but I guess that is down to the island/near to the sea environment.

Still open to rescue at £140.......but be quick as the crusher beckons towards the end of the week most likely.
