On a more serious note, I recall watching quite a few of them as a kid, and being shit scared. I wonder why these gruesome films are no longer made?

They used to show some great public safety ads on Irish telly back in the 70s - they usually revolved around kids drowning in a pond, farmers drowning in slurry pits or builders being electrocuted while carrying scaffolding poles around.:lol::lol:

I remember seeing a safety film in metalwork at school in about '81 that was really grafic. I actually came over a bit queezy when a lad sawed his thumb off on the band saw in it. I seem to remember somone else getting their long hair caught in a lathe and getting scalped. Anyone else see that film? There's a lot of drivers on the road today that could do with seeing that room to manouver film! I was driving the R16 back from Peterborough on Sunday in the pissing rain and dark and got overtaken on a blind left hander only have another guy do it approaching a blind crest a couple of minutes later. I don't know whay people do it. i could understand it if was a new driver but these were both middle aged tools, one in an Alfa estate and one in a new Volvo.

Is that Klaus one a real safety film? I couldn't make up my mind. It certainly puts paid to the idea that the Germans have no sense of humour.

If one doesn't sense humour in that film, he may state that Germans don't have humour at all. <<--regards from D
