it needs a big vehicle to transport it ... has no brakes so you can't just drive it away to a pre booked mot.

Could I suspend my request until you've had a crack at the brakes?  I have nowhere to put a project, but MoT work would be a different matter.

Mind, even if you got the brakes up to scratch, I'd need brave-pills and a couple of days off work to fetch it from where you are.  Not to mention a bank loan for the fuel bill...

Don't worry I am not expecting a raffle to find many takers as it does need a lot of work. I expect it will sell in the next couple of weeks as I have had a fair amount of interest and one bloke who really wants it but can't get the cash together for a few weeks. I have had a few offers of a grand and the best so far is £1250 so there is a good chance of a profit.

58 please Or maybe 29, can't decide and can't afford both as Bentley makes you pooooooor! I'd love this to sell to someone on the forum, would be great to have someone else to sympathise with... or laugh.

Laugh, definitely laugh! :)

Can I just say that my request for number 5 was for the Porsche not the Rolls Royce.

Thanks for the interest in a raffle but it looks like it is off to Romania. As long as the driver he is sending next week has the cash it can go. It would of been a nice profit if I hadn't of spent  so much getting it shipped down to me. I will have to buy more locally next time, as there is good money in these old girls if you are brave enough.

I got a bit more done to the Shadow again today as the bloke who was buying it has disappeared. I thought I might as well get some more bits done. Today's fun was trying to get the brakes working. The trailing front brake calipers are now moving and it almost has brakes except the master cylinder has failed. A new one is £85 which isn't bad for Rolls Royce, but with a bit of googling I found that a Land Rover one will fit. £9.50 later I have got one coming fingers crossed this will get the brakes working properly. I have also got a bloke coming to quote on welding the floors and other mot bits on Friday which might get done if he is cheap enough.

To be honest there isn't really enough interest in a raffle, I think at the moment it will sell about 10 tickets. Hopefully I will do a bit more to it tomorrow if the master cylinder turns up.
