I used to own this 18 Turbo..I bought it last year from Richard(Mr.Renault 18)as a virtual non-runner...After much time,effort and money ,I still could not get it running.It is a very original car though

Car was from Netherseal Garage and still had the original rear plate and window sticker. Was a demonstrator for about a week, until the owner walked in with the necessary and persuaded them to sell it immediately.It had been involved in some kind of minor front end bump. New front bumper, number plate and later-type curved spoiler. The original spoiler would have been the two-piece type that jutted out at an angle so sod-all chance of getting a replacement one of those. The later spoliers and piece of sealing strip around the bumper only appeared later in the 1982 model year.Holes in the rear panel suggested that it had once had the red reflective "Turbo" boutique accessory plate. It had cruise control fitted too although no chance of making that work, so I put a later 1982 leather wheel in it. It was in exceptional unrestored condition, marred by poor running.Seeing it up at £2400 now makes me f*cking gutted that I ever sold it - lesson learned
