Scooby Do Outback for sale

The very same that I bought off Kinkersaab a few weeks back. I've been told in no uncertain terms that it cannot be swapped for our Rav 4, so I don't really have a use for it. It's the 3.0R Auto, flat six, 155k, 13 service stamps (11 with subaru), it was last serviced about 1000 miles ago, had recent front brakes (including calipers), has electric everything, full leather, heated seats, climate control, cruise control, 6cd changer etc etc, all working, the boot's massive as expected. Seems pretty sorted mechanically (I've put about 600 miles on it including driving it back from Aberdeen!). It also has about 245bhp, so goes like stink and is turbine smooth. Quite good on fuel too, for what it is - I had it up to 29mpg on the run back. It's back to around 26-27 now. It's just a bit cosmetically challenged - the odd parking dent, scratch etc, the bonnet's been painted at some point and has 2 small areas of laquer peel (about 50p sized), wheels need a refurb. MOT is december I think.

I've fitted new rear disks and pads, as they were well and truly mullered and swapped the spare tyre on to the rear wheel, so all tyres are now pretty good (well, apart from the spare now :-D ). I've turned all the warning lights off (it had MIL, ABS and traction control on - the ABS does come and go, but always seems to reset itself. The MIL was showing a lamda fault but it's never come back after clearing it). I've got it up at 2 grand elsewhere, which seems to be the cheapest 3.0 available in the newer shape, but if anyone off here wants it, furnish me with £1650. Before anyone pipes up, yes that is more than I paid for it, but I've done a few bits to it and that covers costs. It's in Warrington.

This thread has prompted me drifting off into a fantasy scenario that involves me only owning boxer-engined cars: my Beetle, this, an Alfa 33 and some sort of '70s/'80s 911.

Sorry to be no help but a bump's a bump innit?

Boxer engines are fab. I hope someone carefully points out that this Subaru will need massive cash injections/investment in £££s of special tools to keep it running properly, since this is clearly 100 times better than the standard £200 cheap shit offered here and I love it. The fuel costs could be suffered, I ought to have a sniff and see just what does go wrong with these...
