For sale is my really rather lovely Renault Avantime 3.0 V6 Privilege finished in Mars Red with a 6 speed manual gearbox.
 
This car will have a full 12 months MOT from the 30/09/2014 and the all-important timing belt was changed on the 21/09/2014 and has done all of about 20 miles. It drives really well as the V6 pulls well in any gear and had the power to make over-taking nice and easy. Economy wise, I have seen 32.2MPG with careful driving on an equal mix of town and motorway use but normally see the high twenties. On a longer run, the long sixth gear really helps keep the economy up at acceptable levels. It has approximately 86000 miles.
 
As it is Privilege specification it has the following fancy knick-knacks:

• 6 disc CD changer and FM radio with remote control and steering wheel controls

• Electric and folding mirrors
• Electronic Stability Programme
• Front, Side, and curtain airbags
• 3 point seatbelts on all five seats

• Rear ISOFIX points

Then it has that feature that makes the Avantime so different from any other car; the “Grand Air†mode where at the press of a button the sunroof opens full and all the windows go down. As the doors are pillarless this creates an almost convertible feel and makes the interior feel very spacious even when it’s all closed up.
 
The interior itself is a lovely place to be and makes an excellent long distance tourer as the seats are very comfy and all in good condition. There is some wear to the inner door grabs and some scratches to the rubberised plastics but the carpet is unworn with over-mats and the parcel shelf and speaker grills are present and correct.
 
Externally it looks great, and the very unique Avantime styling really stands out in Mars Red contrasting nicely against the silver roof rails. There is some blemishes, the most obvious one being a small scrape just behind drivers’ side door which is visible in the pictures. Otherwise there are some light scratches around the car, a couple of stone chips on the nose and some poor quality paint work on the passenger side. The wheels look presentable but would need a refurb to be perfect. All wheels have their centre caps intact and in good condition.
 
The headlamps and windscreen are free from cracks.
 
Now for the bad points, and there is only a few. The CD changer doesn’t work, only the radio does but there is a company who can fix these. The remote central locking isn’t currently working, but I think it’s just the battery in the fob so I’ll try and get a new one ASAP. The tax is out at the end of December, but due to the new tax rules, if this isn’t gone soon then this will be lost.
 
This is available for an Autoshite discount at £2990 and is located in Tiverton, Devon. This is 5 minutes away from junction 27 of the M5 and not too far away from Tiverton Parkway station.

This is rubbish if you're in the market you should buy a Scottish blue one. .

 

Only kidding this is the ultimate and probably rarest avantime I doubt you'll have much issues selling it .

CD changer has power but says "no disc" or some such?

May just require lubrication, easy job.

Get a wiggle on all you prospective buyers out there - get your arse to Tiverton with a hand full of doubloons tomorrow and you can drive away with 2 months tax for no extra charge!
