I've been umming and arring over which car to get rid of and realised that I'm not going to have time to sort out either of these cars so is any one after a project before they land on eBay?

Both are non runner's with no t+t, rough interior's and paintwork but they are both fairly solid and complete.

Edit. Heres some dubious ebay style pics now I've cleared all the shite out of them.

I'd be prepared to let the Austin go cheaply if a good home is promised on here where it will get put back on the road. I couldn't give two shits about the bus so that can make some proper coin off a VW mong and be pineappled to death.post-4555-0-44080100-1410110442_thumb.jpgpost-4555-0-24528500-1410110545_thumb.jpgpost-4555-0-65995300-1410112128_thumb.jpgpost-4555-0-28532500-1410112259_thumb.jpgpost-4555-0-67901000-1410112401_thumb.jpgpost-4555-0-15761000-1410112456_thumb.jpg

The 1100 will turn over if the plugs are removed so I'm guessing that the starter is goosed. Otherwise it needs a new closing panel under the n/s sill, work on both rear arches/rear wings a small plate on the boot floor and a few on the o/s inner wing. The paintwork is knackered all over and it needs a new carpet in the back. It is worth fixing, I've done a lot of work already and I would rather let one of you guys have it for £100 on condition that you get it on the road or bring it back. Does that sound fair?

I want that 1100 soooo bad!  It has all my favourite things.  I cannot find anyway to obtain it as I am devoid of free time, cash and space, which is very sad as I am not devoid of materials and enthusiasm to get it sorted.

I would keep it purple with a green interior.

  • 2 years later...

The 1100 is still for sale if anyone is interested,  I could really do with some money at the moment too.

I think I bought it from Sharley17194 in the first place after seeing it on the tat thread.  It was definately from somebody who had owned it twice and needed space for a Porsche 924.

I would love to keep it but am suffering from a severe lack of time and funds until I've sold the old house and a lack of space when I have.

The camper has thankfully departed to a Gumtree buyer who A-framed it home then hit it with a lowering stick and fitted pre-1970 numberplates.

Am I alone in getting a wee bit annoyed by people who stalk these ere pages with what appears to be the sole intention of getting a 'bargain'.

It does rather go against the autoshite spirit.

I simply asked for more info on the camper and for a price, the thread stated... "campervan for sale"... and the owner had already said he could get "proper coin" on ebay,

where was the bargain, sorry i don't quite understand ?

Can't see a problem, in this case it's worked out ok for Catsinthewelder and the last owner, all being well. To be fair to Blackbart he made a simple mistake that's easily done and threw his hand up when he realised it was an old thread.
