Cavcraft
1998 Mazda 313 1.5 5 door.MOT 21st April 2015Taxed until Jan 2015.131,000 milesPower steeringCentral lockingOriginal wheeltrimsOnly advisory on MOT was one tyre being near the limit! Ace little runner, quite pokey and should be good on fuel. Handbooks and a few previous MOTs are with the car and it sems quite standard, except some gash modern CD player. Pretty straight car save a couple of dents on the o/s/r quarter and the odd giffer type bits of over spray which might well buff out. Driver's seat has bent slightly on the back, you do get used to it. Passenger front electric window switch missing but can be operated from the driver's side. Exhaust heatshield rattles a bit. Really clean car that looks quite snazzy imho.Waiting for V5 to come back in my name but new keeper's bit etc with the car. £350 or offers, slight AS discount available. In Chester, Cheshire. Will deliver within about 25 miles for cost of fuel as I'll put my bike in the back and ride it home As ever I'm only really going to take offers (from non-shiters) seriously if you're stood in front of me with cash in your hand. Don't really want a swap as could do with some funds.

Jim Bell
I have an earlier one of these, and have to say that they are very well put together cars. Mines required nothing but pez so far and Its been utterly reliable, and pretty fun to drive. A very good beater for the money! loserone, Cavcraft and eddyramrod
KruJoe
Just showed my Mrs this, I thought she'd be dead keen, it's the right colour too, but she needs the "Offensive Wreck" finishing to be her wheels. Too many half-done projects on the go I'm afraid. These are ace, I'm sure you won't be stuck with it for long. Cavcraft
HillmanImp
Pretty nice that with an exception of the seats.
Cavcraft
I think there was a pretty horrific moment around that era where various car makers decided people must want garish, vomit inducing interiors. Mercedes, Citroen, Mazda and many others seemed willing to do this. Not many have been quite as horrible as that sort of chequer plate silver/grey effort in the Mk2 Laguna though, that really takes some beating. HillmanImp
Volksy Toyota was pretty horrid too. I suppose it makes you keep your eyes on the road as taking them off for a moment will result in a migrane. Cavcraft
AnthonyG
That seat material reminds me of a comment Bill Bryson wrote about Las Vegas casino interiors, something about a sharp mobster dude phoning up a supplier and saying 'gimme 1 million square yards of the most offensive carpet you got - think pizza vomit' Mazda just went mental in the 1990s, no wonder they nearly went bust and had to be rescued by Ford, this was their volume model for god's sake. I take it there was a less mad version of the 323 for the US/Asia? In 15 years time, we will be savouring these in the same way we savour Datsun Cherry N10 Coupes now. KruJoe
... a less mad version of the 323 for the US/Asia? Yes, there was a saloon called 'Lantis', styled slightly more conservatively, seen in Asia. Stuno had one in NZ, comparison pics on this page: http://autoshite.com/topic/16056-all-the-way-home/page-3 I've never been inside one, so can't comment on the seat cloth. Cavcraft
I haven't timed it like, but I reckon this carded a new personal best on the route home down the lanes today. I held back a bit as it doesn't look as chuckable as the Sirion was, plus it could probably do with wider again wheels for flat out grip, but even then it was a struggle to get it to let go. Still for sale, too!
urpert
I think this shape has aged really well, particularly In that colour (most of the ones they sold seemed to be dull metallic green).
dugong
I'd like to smoke about in a 323F V6 for a bit. I don't care if they're crap. People bought MkIII Golfs willingly, it can't be worse than one of those. Cavcraft
