DodgyBastard
No idea, probably 6" wide. 15's look too big and 16's will look totally shit! 500tops and MrDuke

MrDuke
Ta for the pics - I agree that 16s would look very silly (and no doubt drive horribly as I'd need laccy-band tyres for clearance). I've just been guessing at wheel sizes tbh, as the stock 13s look ridiculously small. Out of interest, what were the 15" steelies above? Look a bit Renault-ish, and I'm assuming they were banded? DodgyBastard
Nissan Primera steels banded, I was recently offered a set of 14" Mitsubishi colt steels which were just a smaller version of the steels above.

Pillock
I never realised they were identical, but Beetles were 15". I think it's cos Beetle wheels are almost always solid colour, and the MG Mafia will put a cylinder head on your bed if you don't paint your Rostyles black and silver. DodgyBastard
UK Spec Proton saga triplevalve mpi by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_8252 by srblythe, on Flickr So, I finally got around to fitting tyres that fit under the rear arches. I hadn't driven the proton in a month but it really brought a smile to my face jumping in and hearing the mighty 12 valve engine roar. OwdChina
A 4 x 114.3mm PCD is limiting? Pah. Try buying a car with 4 x 110mm.... 114.3mm ?????.......is that what they call it now ? Metric correctness gone MAD.......... It's 4 1/2" (four and a half inches for anybody under the age of 45) diameter.I notice that 12" 13" and 14" wheels are still referred to as such though, instead of 304.8mm, 330.2mm and 355.6mm. DodgyBastard
I forgot about this thread, the mpi was sold then changed hands a few times until it fell into the hands of a banger racer who couldn't get it running and scrapped it.I now have a saga aeroback to play with. Heidel_Kakao
Did I remind you about the thread by liking one of the posts? If I was 10 years younger and still on Retro Rides I would be very tempted to slam my Aeroback and put some cool wheels on it as your old one looks sexy in some of the pictures. tooSavvy and DodgyBastard
