Sam Glover
Khello! My Great Purge continues. Does anyone fancy my 'lower than a dog' Lada 5-series? I'm very fond of it, but I can't see myself being arsed to raise a spanner to it any time soon. It needs minor work to achieve roadworthiness – but the light of Songun politics glows brightly within it. It's done 20-something thousand miles and it's fundamentally good mechanically. It's been off the road for a couple of years, though. It certainly needs a brake master cylinder (included) and an easy-to-fit front balljoint (also included... if I can remember where I put it). The Ozone carburettor is due its biannual taking-apart-and-putting-back-together-again/replacing with a Weber. I welded a high-quality filing cabinet to its underside not that long ago. It may need a further trifling patch-or-two now – but certainly nothing major. The 'cruising' rear wheels are Fiat Multipla items, fitted with racy Taiwanese van tyres. Speeds above 90mph can be achieved, unless there's a hill or some wind. Standard 'sprint' wheels are also included. The multi-beige patination has been lovingly developed through the mediums of corrosion, accident damage, shit repairs and carefully-nurtured calcium deposits. Girls love calcium deposits. All of this – and more – could be your problem for £300. Here it is being driven responsibly: www.youtube.com/watch?v=G26msdhuB1k Tolyatti is a clean city where there are no beggars and everybody studies! DodgyBastard
No!!!! My dream car for £300, don't suppose you'd be interested in a swap for this? Strapped up by srblythe, on Flickr Leyland Lawrence

UmBongo
My Grandad had a white Riva which, although it had rusty wings, was not quite as knackered looking as this. But...for £300 it's a bargain!
Sam Glover
Forgot to say... it's near Chippenham, Wiltshire – SN14 6GU. No Allegro exchanges, I'm afraid. Owning one Allegro is bad enough. Sam
eddyramrod
That takes Grimness to a whole new level. I can say that, as I've owned the same model in the past. GLWTS.
jonathan_dyane
Don't suppose you fancy a swap for a partly dismantled Citroen GS estate? Didn't think so...
cms206
Shitting norah Sam, that is glorious. Pity it is without t&t or I'd be beating a path to your door armed with an RAC card and bourgeois levels of hope. Sadly all I have spare is a T-5 and a Montego... rml2345
That has party approved levels of win. If I had off road parking (and €$£300) then it would be whisked away to Scotland, the spiritual home of many a Lada. But I haven't.Bumhats Have a well deserved bump instead. pandamonium
I have the off street parking and the £300, but I don't have the means to collect it and I have a Nissan Prairie taking up the space it would go in!

KruJoe
I caught our kid Will looking at Lada porn on ebay today, then he tripped over this one on there, and was sad to hear he'd missed it here last week. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1985-Lada-Riva-1300-rat-look-retro-drift-Warsaw-Pact-etc-/321478082971?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4ad996419b It's bid up to £310, so you're doing ok if nobody backs out.
