scooters Posted July 7, 2014 Share Posted July 7, 2014 I've decided to move this on,I've developed osteoarthritis in my basal thumb joints. I was pooh pooing this however, yesterday I had to replace the alternator in my Volvo 850 and my hands are so crippled with arthiritis today I cannot hold a pen.Clearly spannering is no longer a real option for me - quite gutted and therefore am moving on all my projects including this and the CX. - OK,this Lancia is a 1980 1.6 Beta Coupe in poo brown. somewhere around 30,000 on the clock. The car was rescued by me from the back of a scrap wagon and had been partially stripped. I have recovered all the removed parts and had intended to put them all back together again. The body shell is remarkably solid, the car was garaged for practically its whole life and only came off the road in 2006. There is some welding left to do on the off site rear strut turret and the boot floor. Other than that - new suspension bits, brakes, a clutch refurb and a mild engine refurb should get it back on the road. £300 ono - trailer from Edinburgh ideally in the next 10 days or so. skattrd Posted July 7, 2014 Share Posted July 7, 2014 This looks like a more viable project than my most recent purchase, and the parts you mention it needing (suspension & brakes) are usually available from betaboyz. I'm not allowed to buy any more broken cars, I have too many all ready.GLWTS and all that.
