martc
Have you had a look at the silencer? The symptoms (very brief running then death) are often due to coking up of the exhaust pipe/silencer/baffles particularly if the previous owner has been over-egging the oil/petrol ratio. Remove the exhaust and give it a try. Cavcraft
New POD
Caustic soda solution in the exhaust for 24 hours is never a BAD thing. My first bike (a Suzuki TS50ER) wouldn't start and that cured it. Plus removal of carbon on the head, and piston, and filing the exhaust port higher, allowed it to hit oh 40 on the flat.
Cavcraft
Oh aye, used to do that on various KH250s back in the day! Right, got a new plug and plug cap today, fiddled with the points some more and it's so nearly there. most of the time. Going to have another bash at it on Saturday when hopefully will have more time, though there's a tat collection mission to sort out first. Cavcraft
Not getting time to get anywhere near this at the moment, so it's up for grabs. Had it really close to running but not quite there, suspect probably points or timing and the compression seems fine. £200, can deliver for fuel costs but don't especially want to travel more than about 50 miles.
