Saab 9-5 Aero 2.3T estate

Evening chaps,

A colleague of mine is looking to move on his 2004/53-plate 9-5 Aero manual estate. Mot 3/15, no tax, 153k miles, full leather interior, heated front seats, cruise control and all the usual toys. He's had it two years is properly anal about servicing so it's been done every 5500 miles and he's replaced both front wheel bearings, both catalytic converters, discs and pads all round, all bushes, rear shocks, vacuum hoses, charge hoses and has receipts for a new turbo and DI cartridge. It is a bloody tidy car, but he wants to move it on. Bit pricey for most of us I suspect (and me) but had I the cash I'd bite his hand off.

It's offered in the work for £1,000... he doesn't want any offers. PM me for the number if interested.

That's the proper quick one too, IIRC.

Never fail to be amazed/annoyed/disappointed at how frequently cars I'd be all over like a bad rash turn up on my doorstep just after I've blown my load on something else. If this had appeared a couple of weeks ago it would probably have had my nick-naks in it's glovebox by now, but there you go.

GLWTS, I'd have been well into that.

Same here. I bought a Volvo 850 T5 this morning (off the blue forum) because I wanted a fast estate car. This is quite a bit dearer than what I bought, but... just... LOOK AT IT FFS IT'S GORGEOUS. If the two had been available at the same time, I would have been emptying my piggy bank to see if I could go for the Saab instead.

Lovely! As well as being the rapid one I like this all the more as ( hard to tell from the pics) I think it predates the whole dame Edna facelift thing they forced on the 9-5 in

Later years

I've had one of these, cracking big cars and nice and quick. My heart belongs to 9000 Aeros though-a bit more special feeling and even quicker. A good 9000 is probably worth more than a 9-5 though.
