garycox
Slightly O/T (Sorry!) but I was wondering if anybody knew how to obtain Ford radio codes? I need one for an R reg Fiesta, the battery was disconnected and the radio/cassette won't work again without it...
pandamonium
Go to a main dealer, they charge you about 20 quid IIRC as long as you can prove the car is yours. Or, like happened to me, they may just point out in the handbook where the code is written and laugh at you!

mk2_craig
I've got the code cracker for the "big front" late 1990s series of Ford head units. It wasn't able to decode a 1990 Escort rad/cass tho, fortunately there's a guy on moneysavingexpert.com who helped me and loadsa other folk out, you need to register (free) but its well worth it. Edit. link: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/sho ... 87&page=

pogweasel
Can you do the same with Vauxhall (Phillips) ones too? I've a big stack of phooked ones (and the sounds of silence), all because the fuckwit dealers locked it up when they changed the alternator and fed the wrong code into it (despite the correct code being written on it )
Richard
No @ Philips. The programme I've got claims to do a variety of makes including Blaupunkt, Clarion and Becker but I've only ever had success with the Ford one. I can do all the Ford stereos that are likely to feature on this forum. I'm not sure if I can do the new style ones.If anybody wants the programme I have let me know and I'll email a copy.
