Are these the two types of Capri alloy?

PVR520R registered June 1977 certainly seems to have the later type.

Not as clear cut as that. Capris moved production in August/September 1976 from Halewood to Cologne at which point the S gained the chin spoiler and Cadiz stripey seat fabric. Father Bluejeans had a Jade green Halewood 2000S VAA875R, no chin spoiler, Crapi L type black seat trim - but with the later type 'loys.  He did fit a chin spoiler, two piece thing made from gap plastic, sprayed with Holts Duplicolour rattle cans. Looked okay as well.

^^ Jade Mk2 S sounds tasty, any old pics?

Around 1976 you could still also have a S with the same 4-spokes as the Mk1 RS2000, (different to later RS 4-spokes, and different again to Laser alloys).

The S started off as a limited edition in '75, white or black with gold detailing including the interior.

No pics of ours - my folks never took pics of cars. They bought VAA in Summer 1977, had it four years. Replaced by a 1979 3000S in black with Recaros, X Pack suspension and 7" RS alloys. That was a proper car.

What's with all them fucking colour photos in here lately?

Would you gentlemen please have the dignity to sod the fuck off?

I despair.

Why does the 21st century require me to tolerate even the most dinglebrained gender bended fuckwits?

It's just not normal anymore.

"Dinglebrained gender bended fuckwits".
