Think i have given up on cruise control for now, just cant afford it at moment but i will see if i can get bits as and when cheap ones appear.

My son has ordered a towbar for car so that will be a fun job soon.

The high level brake light should be attached to the tailgate's interior trim panel with screws. At least it is on The Volvo and The Wentworth.

Has the trim panel itself come adrift of its mounting clips, which would also cause the brake light to come away from the window? This is a very common problem caused by the holes in the panel that the [tailgate mounted] clips go into becoming enlarged/broken from years of the tailgate being slammed shut. There is a repair kit available cheaply to remedy this:

I have such a kit waiting to go on The Wentworth after I replace its faulty rear wiper motor. I fitted the very same kit to both The Volvo and TV2 not long after I bought them to great effect :)

Managed to get rear wiper sorted, spindle was seized virtually solid,

Screwed stoplight back on,the screws had fallen out.

Winder handle is actually held by screw in centre of it which is cover by clip on cover which some bright spark had superglued in place.

A well aimed drill hole through it over screw allowed access for screwdiver.

A good lube session and straightening of linkages sorted central locking.

Next job, which i am not looking forward to is fitting towbar.

Looks like i have to remove lower section of bumper or something.

Nice to see you're sorting out the little niggles Dave.

I unsiezed the rear wiper myself when I had it, so it looks like it could be a regular thing.

I also sorted the rear wash too. Where the rear lights are, the was a little valve to stop the washer fluid draing back. This was pissing water out, so I took it out and just joined the pipes, seemed ok afterwards.

I couldn't be arsed with the rear door. Sometimes it'd work, sometimes not.

Hope you're still enjoying the car though.

The towbar should be easy, the captive nuts for the bolts are already there and being a later model it should be pre wired. Just plug and play.

Iirc if you put a fuse in a vacant slot you'll get a tell tale indicator light on the dash too.

Fuckbag fucking volvo..............

Fitting towbar, side with towing eye,no problems.

Other side 3 holes,no fucking threads tapped, just blank holes.

Managed to tap holes but what a nightmare to do,had to be side with exhaust.

Towbar now fitted just wiring to sort.
