@@@@@@PRICE DROP- WE WILL NOT BE BEATEN ON PRICE!!!!! £200@@@@@@@@@

Hi gang,

My inlaws want to liquidate their Rover 25. Its a 2001 51 plate. 1.4 MPI in rotting flesh light green.

GOOD POINTS.

A)only has 53k on the clock.

b)Just been serviced with all new filters and oil.

C)I fitted a throttle body and cable from an MGZR to de restrict the engine so it now drives very well.

D) Head gasket done a couple of years ago (although I have no paperwork to prove this, the PO is a family friend and I can remember them having it done)

E) I replaced a couple of oil seals on the ends of the cams to cure an oil weep.

F) Wheel in each corner

G) Good on pez

H) Overall a lovely motor.

BAD POINTS.

A) Scabby front wings plus some scabs on the rear arches.

b )EML light on (TBH who cares?)

C) Exhaust blowing (not badly though) I haven't looked at it, it could be repairable with a bit of paste and a coke can or something.

D) A couple of tyres are pretty low

E) Shit colour

As you can see, the good points exceed the bad points.

The MOT is up on the 5th of June and the TAX is up in August. It will need the exhaust looking at plus a couple of tyres to pass.

Its being sold because the inlaws are going down to 1 car, now they are retired.

OK, it's not the most desirable of cars but it's a good motor and should do someone a good turn. Other than the bits mentioned it I can't see it needing much to get an MOT, if anything.

Collection from Stoke On Trent.

N.B I want to keep the AA badge.

Front wings are £35 from Euro Car Parts, btw. The rust in the rear arches is catchable. As long as the cat is OK, the rest of the exhaust is dirt cheap. Will probably need  track rod ends by now, but they're cheap too.

Oh yeah - who ever buys it - ditch the standard/OEM locking wheel nuts. They're cheap shit. (Looks like at least one is already gone)

GLWTS.

Well, my lorry visits Felixtowe every night Monday to Friday, I could give them to my night driver to take down with him. Only problem is he gets there about midnight and he'd need to have a safe place to drop them off.

Maybe he could just stick them in that little room with the phone at the bottom of the crane or something.
