Lord Sterling
Looking great. I gave my S124 a wash 'n' hoover and now it's only gone and passed its MOT! I really want to get stuck in now. Good to see W/S/C 124 love on here. Skizzer
HMC
Glad to hear its treating you well. Even the rotten/ruined 124s ive owned had a really dependable feel to them, My wife even agreed to be driven to Germany in a creaky 230te whose odometer had packed up at 297,000- and oddly enough for her without much persuasion. Six-cylinder
My wife won't drive a car that has low power, no leather, no aircon but we fight to drive the 200TE in spite of it's basic spec.
Six-cylinder
One Year on with the FREE Mercedes, it has been a fantastic car. 13,500 miles with two services, 4 new tyres and we had a small problem with difficult cold start that was solved by my garage for £70. When I went to collect it my expectations for a free car were low and a thought in my head was if it was too bad maybe I could take it to a scrap yard and get enough money for my rail ticket home! Since then I have been to Scotland and Mrs Cyl has often driven the M40 and now I would trust it to go anywhere. The bad news for you lot is Mrs Cyl is still doing relative big miles and is very happy splitting her miles between it and her Volvo V70 so it’s not available for rehoming. I celebrated our one year anniversary together by treating it to a super deluxe clean in a hand car wash today! Anybody got a FREE Rolls-Royce you don’t need……… stillOrange, KruJoe, Lacquer Peel and 7 others
