pompei
At the moment I'm driving a lot of miles in a 5 year old car, and would like to get an old smoker to share the legwork. I remember in the past having problems insuring another car, unless it can go on a classic policy, and something like a 12 year old Jap/Italian almost certainly isn't going to fit the criteria.Short of getting a trader's policy, is there any way to insure a second car? Probably only going to need Third Party...
pogweasel
Just ring round, see if they will accept your good history and knock a bit off.
r.welfare
I had the same issue last year. Did the old online trawls, found out the AA (current insurer) were cheapest (in fact only about £20 more than my 1st policy with 6yrs NCB on it, mind you I restricted the mileage right down on the second one), and they told me that if I did the first year on the second policy claim-free they'd up the NCB on that policy to match my "main" one. No idea if it was transferable to another ins. co., academic as I claimed on it this year
