Cavcraft
Alexei Sayle=comedy genius. Loved that record and still as funny no as it ever was.Sorting through some old vinyl again yesterday and found 'The Fish People Tapes' by Alexi Sayle, anyone else heard it? If you're a fan of his and haven't listened to it I cannot recommend it enough, you'll laugh your knackers off all the way through!
pogweasel
Unfortunately much of the 'targets' of vinyl-era Sayleism are now largely defunct/irrelevant. Still enjoy the occasional bit of 'Cak' though....
r.welfare
"Stoke Newington" is a great standup sketch of his, too.

Electric Leyland
All time classic. Can still recite every word of it. Still got the 12" of this which on the b-side has the same song again but where all the words are replaced with the F***, C***, SH** and W*** words which also works just as well as the original. Plus a few other lines ...."You from the Norf are ya? Eat babies do ya? Rainbows in black and white round your way eh? I went to the north once, it was Facking closed" etc etc. You forget hearing that track that Sayle's actually a scouser not a cockney.

155V6
I think Alexei's a bit of a Shite fan, pretty sure he used to have a Rover P5 and also an 800 Coupe, and in his recent show about Liverpool,he was driving around in a Citroen C6!
mcqueenmachine
He published a collection of short stories a few years ago including one about drving a hire car (a Fiat Uno - with Barcelona plates) from a hotel in Barcelona to his house in London and back for no good reason. And another that explains the rotund, not to say porcine physique of most motoring journalists. They're all cannibals.
