Guest Posted October 10, 2008 Share Posted October 10, 2008 Probably a bit too new for Old Japanese Car so I thought I'd throw it on here, check out this mental thing, the Mitsubishi Emeraude: It's essentially an early 90s Galant in pillarless hardtop form, with a rather odd front. If that isn't odd enough for you, the engine choices are a 1.8 SOHC V6 and a 2.0 DOHC V6. I imagine the former is an interesting driving experience. Looks like Mitsubishi’s take on the Mazda Persona (?) and Nissan Presea, which filled minutely small gaps in their ranges. Doubtless Toyota did something similar too, Carina ED maybe? Mazda Persona seems right, if I recall there was a Eunos-badged version of it too. On the subject of Mazda, got to love the Efini MS-8: Very classy!
