uncle silvia
Well some of you may have spotted some evidence lurking in my Sig that the Corolla is not the only old car residing in my stable............. I also have a Mini with a difference I thought I may as well share this with you and brighten up your day!! It is/was a 1977 Mini Clubman 1000 which has been changed somewhat over 10 years ago by a local welder! I bought the car over 3 years ago as it is, of a mate after borrowing it to go to Run To The Sun in Newquay! It was such a laugh I just had to have it! Unfortunately Ive been a bit lazy and the summers are getting wetter and wetter so its been dry stored for 2 years now, but Im hoping to get it back running as soon as it bloody stops raining!! Ill be looking into silly engine swaps for it at some point but my first task is just to get it back on the road and have a laugh! I do really want the "look at that twat in his gay pink ca................. OMG its bloody gone!!!!!!!!!" Anyway enjoy the vids and pics .................................. Vids.... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eui2mQfZNYo http://s69.photobucket.com/albums/i57/J ... ndo1-1.flv Oh and I work for Halfords/Ripspeed and used it for a promotion day hence the stickers!! uncle silvia
Hmmmm that looks a little like a bas***d to get in to, and me being 6'2" doesnt help!!! There are a fair few of these about in the UK and other countrys and even another round nose convertable in Plymouth! However, mine is the only Pink Clubby with a roof ive ever seen!! My mate (the guy I bought the mini off) also has a chop which we cruise round together in sometimes And if I really try I can get the back wheels off the ground about 2' and my party trick is to crush a coke can with my front valence!! My future plans for it are to lower it (it may not stand on its nose then though so undecided yet), fit some wide 12s and arches to make it more stable, tidy up the inside with a new colour scheme, fit new brakes etc and then look at silly engine swaps! Was looking at 1275 supercharged to save on fabrication but would love a bike engine in there!!
