So before collecting the green polonez and stripping the white one we had the small matter of two 125ps and a samara to collect. The Samara was easy, it hadn't been sitting long and was easy to push on to the trailer.

The 125ps proved to be a little more difficult, this grey one hadn't moved since 97 and so the breaks were seized. Here cyanide Steve is doing a fine job of freeing up the breaks so we can push the car out.

Behind the grey one the brown/orange beauty was deeper in the undergrowth, this one hadn't moved since 91

I pulled off the right rear wing to make it easier to get the orange 125p out, it wasn't difficult

That orange one looks ab-fab. Does not stop you all being mental though, but at least that one looks like it is in one piece.

Whats the deal with the Daffodil? Take it you did not get that too?

*EDIT*

The computer at work is slow and I could not see the writing above saying about the DAFS. Apologies.

The Dafs were just the tip of the iceberg, there were many cars but I have neither the space or the money for any of the others.

Just a random thought, could the doors etc. off the white Prima not have gone to the green monster?  Nice saves from the garden, amazing how well the orange 125P has survived considering it's been there 22 years, looks better than the grey one!  Are the 125s and Samara going back on the road?  A 7k mile Samara must have a willing owner waiting somewhere!

I think what comes off the white one depends on sambas bank balance, which has taken a bit of a hit lately. I think he's done a deal on a lot of it but I know its due to be cubed fairly soon. To be fair they have hung on to it for seven months but their prices are a little on the high side. I wanted to give the sparkomatic stereo and speakers a good home but baulked at paying £35 plus vat for something that might be borked.

Yeah I hope to get the orange one on the road fairly quickly, the grey one has joined Steve's queue which is growing ever longer, the red samara went to a chap in Selby who has a large amount of autoshite and he hopes to have it up and running before long.

Aaaahahhaa! Too much excitement to handle!

The interior on the Prima looked clean so a good save there and the orange 125p looks surprisingly solid.

I don't get parts places sometimes, why didn't they let you have the radio cheap? - no-one else is going to want it and they'll end up getting nowt for it and chucking it in a skip. Madness.

da autoparts has been a bit of a ball ache since the car first appeared, first the cod madness, then the high price for parts, the staff that work there seem nice enough and are helpful but the boss seems clueless or very greedy with regards to prices. I see the grill and toolbox have appeared on ebay since we were there priced at £40 and £35 respectively. I thought a fiver for the radio or a tenner tops but I wasn't going to wedge out for something that might not even work.

I think sambas has done a deal on some of it and richieg also wanted some so hopefully most will get saved.

It would have been nice to take a stihl saw to that white shell and cut sections out for that Scottish one. Maybe a big cut in the middle for the front and rear halves.

I agree on the orange one being the bestest though.

I am going to cut the roof about 2 inches in, cut around the transmission tunnel and inch in, cut up the floor/sills an inch in cut across the sills as far back as I can get away and across the floor. Also a chap from DA is going to Doncaster and can bring it down If i go halves on the petrol, so it's sounding good.

Along with the 125 pickup which is sold there is also this fiorino van which can be yours for the princely sum of £50 :)

Glad it found a home Vin thanks for the update, speaking of giving homes to exotica I've added a few more to the fleet and my caro had its rear end repaired which was nice. I realised I hadnt updated the thread for a while so here are some photos.

What happend to those 125p you've extracted from that garden? The orange one looked promising.

BTW in official FSO terminology this orange paint was called "Mexican red" - don't ask why... I had one "mexican red" 125p 1300 '74 - loved it, but gave up to rust...
