Kirsty Allsopp was going to buy Blackborough House and clear all the old cars out - that's fallen through now, but I think it's still under threat. Couple of million and it's yours, though.Mr Sceptre - is that one of the Argentine R12s? There's an ad for the Argie Renault 12 from 1990 on Youtube somewhere - I'd heard they were still making them until relatively recently, but I'd never seen the evidence until now!

Its not half the size it was in the early 90's when PC featured it. Looks like loads has been cleared out unfortunately!! But i guess its on borrowed time anyway what with all the enviromental legislation regarding scrapyards etc these days. So what if a bit of old engine oil seaps back into the ground, i mean thats where it came from anyway!

M'self and m'colleague Mr H Sceptre were students at Leicester Poly/DeMontfort Uni at the time over on Narborough Rd right next to the Vic Berry's train scrapyard. A very surreal time. Walking through stacks of old trains at 8.30am each morning on the way into lectures. When the place went up in flames one weekend there was a famous migration of rats from the site and across to the streets we lived in. Great days.
