Lazy spotters thread

That is outstanding, rear wheel spats aside.

What CJ said. Stock items for single rear wheel axles, it just covers over the big hole left behind without the big bubble arches. I like the spats personally.

My LWB high top mk2 tranny has them.

They do come off if needed but it looks stupid without them!

Goes a bit Rover heavy here.

Got my hopes up here, premium grille and starspoke alloys. Could it be a V8? No, it's just a lowly diesel. Good spec though, cruise, wood rim wheel, cream contemporary leather (basically ZT seats) and it's almost beige.

And lastly, this one IS a V8.

These are all from the same road. I regularly drive this road but rarely walk it but I keep seeing all this stuff and finally decided to take a little detour.

I realise this may be against Lazy Spotter rules (actually having to put some effort in). I hope I'm not disqualified but I think the results are worth it.

First this amazing trio.

One

Two

Three

That would be a great calendar shot if it were a bit sharper. All three look a bit ropey (note wonky sunroof on the third one). Only the E reg one seems to move on a regular basis.

Also in the same road.

Moggy on Minilites with a much younger cousin. The thing under the tarpaulin also has Minilites and black numberplates. I'm thinking it's a Minor Van but I'm happy to be corrected.

If I owned this I wouldn't keep parking it under that tree.

The last one belongs to a retired doctor on my delivery and is very well looked after.

These things are all best part of twenty years old and yet there seem to be more of them around now than when they were new! Their survival ratio must be well above all other cars of their era.

Here's something local to me that makes me grin/upsets me every time I drive past...sure some on here have seen them before but these I see often.

Fiat 131 last taxed 1992 (try lifting that now), Croma I think last taxed 1998, Bluebird (think it's a diesel) a bit more recent.  Never dared go closer.

Bit of a cheating Spot really as it's at a local show today.....Could not resist the symmetry, though.

Two black Morrises, my Cowley and this Minor.   Both supplied new from the same garage (Wadham's, Southampton) almost exactly two years apart.   Combined age of 122 years and grand total of four owners (two per car).    Just co-incidental parking, too.   When I talked to the Minor's owner we both produced the original Wadham's keyring fobs from our gloveboxes.

If cars could talk.....

I was at the Gaydon truck show today. Plenty of truck shite like this neat Ergo AEC, but what's that on the back?

Why, it's a doom blue 205. Cazana history suggests this was taken off the road when less than 3 years old and has never had an MOT!

Other shizzle in the model show exhibitors car park. The Mustang was unexpected and I loved the Volvo.
