Alexg
Hey I'm seeing a guy from Hornby / Corgi at some point, I might suggest some of these. Well if they are accepting suggestions how about Maestro Montego Metro. It seems as though a scale model of almost every eighties car is available (across various diecast brands) except anything from Austin-Rover who, apart from the SD1 and a few 6R4s, seem to have been ignored. Edit - I realise Both Hornby and Corgi made Metros and Maestros years ago, but I'm talking collectable diecast models not toys
eddyramrod
+1 on the M/M/M-cars, definitely, having owned all three flavours. Mk1 Cavalier? They already have the Mk2... Chevette, maybe?

Mr_Bo11ox
What about a 'BullsEye' box set with a box that looks like the studio, with a middle aged brummie couple NOT getting handed the keys to a cinnabar red Metro City by Jim Bowen. Lets take a look at what you could have won!

Guest
I like the way they tried to make the cars on Bullseye seem more glitzy by putting the hazard lights on.

55bloke
That looks absolutely superb - can't help thinking it's a strange choice of car to produce such a superb model of though.
Formula Autos
That looks absolutely superb - can't help thinking it's a strange choice of car to produce such a superb model of though. That'll sell like hotcakes. Though maybe not in the UK. Think of how many Lada enthusiasts, or people who can say "I/my Dad had one of those*" there'll be in Eastern Europe and Russia. * or the equivalent phrase in their own language. eddyramrod
Seriously? Is there a 1/18 Lada? I have to have one, even in LHD. Please tell me they do them in white...

Mr Lobster
Seriously? Is there a 1/18 Lada? I have to have one, even in LHD. Please tell me they do them in white... Only in cream or red it seems. The same casting will also be a SEAT 124 and Fiat 124 as well although the Lada is the first one due out. RRP is £49.99, looks like they should be popular - the 1/43 IST / IXO stuff had sold very well, especially the Lada models. Already presold most of ours, although we do have a couple left... eddyramrod
RRP is £49.99, Dear me! That's what I used to pay for them at 13 feet long! Oh well, another one for the List*. *The List of what I'll be buying when the income from my best-selling teenage romance hits 7 figures... Mr Lobster
Has anyone seen these? Want! http://www.journaux.fr/vehicules-postau ... 00057.html Only In France sadly. For whatever reason they've never made it over here (actually, a couple did but only small numbers of one or two of them) and probably won't be coming here now either. Negative Creep
If only someone would make a mk.2 estate in red On that subject, of all the cars I've owned the only ones I know they make 1:43 models of (excluding race/rally versions) are the Nova, Volvo 740, mk.2 Golf, mk.4 Cortina and VR Commodore
tatmeister
I haven't posted here in ages, but thought my latest purchases would be of interest, all from a flea market today at Bath racecourse. The two packaged Maseratis were £1 each, the rest £7 for the five. I'm a bit disappointed in myself with the Jensen, I didn't notice the missing pillars. The Princess is very nice, though, 2200HL! eddyramrod
That Capri looks like the Corgi one from the 90s, which turned up in yellow in A Century Of Cars. In the same Corgi series were the Mk1 Escort as saloon or van, and the Mk3 Cortina, based on the old 2-door GXL casting, but with the later rectangular headlights and fixed doors instead of opening. Good shooting, Tatmeister!
tatmeister
Thanks. Folks at work just looked at me with bewilderment when I showed them the photos of the cars and other tat I bought.
