Sure did! It's part of the Colin McRae collection which also has a Focus and a few others that I can't remember for the life of me at the moment which will come out sometime in the next two years! Not sure you can say that it marks a move into non Brits though - more that McRae drove one so they need to produce one.Can I just confirm you said a Peugeot 309?? Have they actually decided to move onto non Brit vehicles at last?!

Think it might be a good while before it comes out though. Got to see the pre production models of the full Colin McRae range - will be late 2011 / early 2012 before they are all out thougha 309?! I havent seen or heard of it being made by them before now.

On a similar note, this will be why we are getting the Chrysler / Talbot Sunbeam due to it being built at Linwood in Scotland at the Hillman Imp factory but doubt we'll get any of the other Talbots.Well, they were built at Ryton. Can I just confirm you said a Peugeot 309?? If thats the case with these, a Bluebird and a 405 would be a good addition to the range, if they have that mindset at the moment. Youre right, is there a mkII escort coming as well though? That car featured heavily in his later life....... But anyway, im still looking forward to the new ones next month, they should be good. So why did corgi change the releases schedule? I know the retailiers and collectors polled for it, but what benefits does it have?I'm fairly certain the main reason for the existance of the 309 and Sunbeam models is that they are producing the rally versions as part of the McRae collection. And the McRae collection is very important to Corgi I gather. And seeing as they already have the castings it makes sense to reuse them. So don't be expecting a Bluebird any time soon.

Haha quite true, but it is nice to have uk versions of them. And my budget isnt stretched by vanguards. Heres hoping they do a popular version of it. I managed to win a gama opel kadett caravan e the other day, and its been in an attic for 15 years MIB. I was going to get the minichamps one.............. but god knows where thats gone.I'd like to think a MkII Escort would be something they'd have produced anyway, especially as they're not adversed to re-producing vehicles other companies have already done!
