Speaking of cameras, what do you use? I really need something that's good at close up pictures of small subjects like that, especially for when I put things on eBay!

Most cameras have a macro mode (identified by a button with a tulip icon) designed for close-up photos.

Yes, I use that don't worry, but still need something that produces better results. I guess the more optical zoom you've got the better. Something camera phones don't have!

Ah! :P Olympus cameras have a 'super macro' mode which is pretty good, and anything you buy from them will have at least a 3x optical zoom.

In Geest livery? It's white metal, 1/48 very heavy. Came from a toy Swapmeet thing 2 or 3 years ago, 45 quid or something like that. Based on a Hart Smith casting I think, although it has no manufacturer name on it. I ended up telling the vendor about it as he didn't know. Also got a couple of ERFs from that manufacturer too

Fiat Regata
This model is a Polistil, in 1/43 scale with slightly better detail than the bburago one. Never seen another!!
Posted Image
Seat Ronda
This one is 1/43 scale, made by Gustival. They also did this model in red.
Posted Image
Fiat Uno MK1 5 door
This one is by Hotwheels in 1/24 scale, i also have the 1/43 Bburago & a 1/43 Norev as well!!
Posted Image
Fiat Uno MK1 3 door
They did this one in Yellow as well, it's 1/60 scale so bit unusal.
Posted Image
Fiat Panda MK1
Again this one is 1/24 scale by Hotwheels, it even features tilting front seats!!
Posted Image
Fiat 126/ 127 / 850 Van
Can't remember who the 126 is by, it is the 126 personel model with plastic bumpers which is a bit diffrent. Im sure the 127 is by Polistil, the 850 van is the fiat service van by Politoys.
Posted Image
Fiat Panda mk2's
These are the Edison / Giocattoli models in 1/43
Posted Image
Fiat Tipo
This is made by Brum i believe, and is actually based on the 1/43 Bburago. Just with detailed Fiat wheel trims, lights & mirrors etc but that's about it!
Posted Image
Alfa 155/ 156
The 155 is Minichamps & 156 is Solido, have seen the 155 in dark blue.
Posted Image
Fiat Cinqucento's
These are Vitesse, have got the seicento's you mentioned too!
Posted Image
Fiat Punto's
The metalic blue civilian 5 door is Cararama, and the yellow cab by Edison as well as the police 5 door hatch. Ive also got Bburago 3 door hatches as well in 1/43 & 1/24. Got the dark blue MkII hatch by Majorette.
Posted Image
Fiat Marea's
Yeah these are Maisto, just need your saloon in green to complete the set! The Weekends look good, and have the roof rails as well. Got these models when the Marea was still current, from my local Fiat Dealer!
Posted Image
Seat Cordobra Coupe
This one is indeed by Herpa in 1/43 scale.
Posted Image
Citroen ZX
This one is the Advantage version by solido in 1/43 scale, they also made a volcane version in red!!
Didn't know there was a 1/18 in same colour by Dong Feng? or a 1/43 Dong Feng hatch in yellow, or a silver Volcane by Universal Hobbies.
Tho they did actually produce the real Citroen zx under licence in China, not sure if it's still in current production tho?
Posted Image
Fiat Croma
This one is 1/24 scale by Polistil, it's a nice model.
Posted Image

With the Kinder Egg Fiat Regata, they produced the weekend version in red, Fiat 127 Fiorino Van in red & Volvo 740 in green.
Posted Image
Fiat Cinqucento/ Ford Escort Mk5 Ghia
The fiat is Herpa & the Escort is Praline. Didn't know they did a Estate!!
Posted Image
Peugeot 806 / Talbot Horizion
The Horizon is by Hotwheels!
Posted Image
Fiat Tipo, BMW 3 seiries E36 & E34
They did the Tipo in red as well. Never seen the BMWs before, other than the ones ive got.
Posted Image
Renault Clio, Peugeot 406, Ford Escort Mk5, Mondeo Mk1, Sierra Mk1
The Mondeo features turning wheels, they also did one in blue in the touring car colours. They did the Escort in yellow racing livery as well.
Posted Image
Trabant
The Trabant is Maisto, they did it in beige as well.

Ford Escort mk3 5 door & XR3i
well he got back to me and said postage is 12 euros....Im not sure, i have my eye on something else atm too, which is also international but is 1:43 and cheaper....Why is neo so expensive? It doesnt look to be that much better quality than minichamps.Oxford Diecast have actually started doing 1:43 now, and its not bad, but they charge near enough £20 for a Jenson Interceptor. Aiming too high?I got a schabak Sierra for £2.35 last night :D

NEO is very expensive but the quality is superb, really is a step above Minichamps which themselves are very good. Same as Spark really - it's the small details which set them apart which is mainly because they are resin models rather than diecast

New NEO Prelude looks lovely

Posted Image

These Spark Transits are fantastic

Posted Image

Oxford Diecast 1/43 stuff varies a bit. The MG Magnette was lovely, really well done, the Interceptor is pretty good as are the Daimler limos they have done. Some of the other (earlier) stuff is a bit variable.

ah its resin! Now i understand.Ive seen those spark transits quite a lot actually, would love the penthouse MKI, but its so expensive.Yeh I remember when Oxford wasnt really anything special, now they keep expanding their range.Although for some odd reason, the consul/granada they did as a one off (but still very much a toy) sells for stupid money now? Why is that.

Although for some odd reason, the consul/granada they did as a one off (but still very much a toy) sells for stupid money now? Why is that.

Not aware of that one, are you thinking of Richmond Toys? They did the Sweeney car in an odd scale which I have an example of. It's an ok likeness but nothing special, wasn't aware they had value! Amongst a few other things, they did the white Jaguar from Minder too but I don't have it. I don't have a problem with Spark, I have a couple in my collection, neither costing more than £30 a piece which is ok by me as I appreciate they have a greater attention to detail & are indeed resin. However, £30-40 I can put up with for the odd model here & there but not £40-50 which Neo seem to be! It's for that reason I've never succumbed to any white metal models preferring to wait until a diecast is available (apart from the very odd exception, bought second hand.). It annoys me that Neo seem to be coming thick & fast with some very tasty subjects for models which nobody else has done before & I'm sure it won't be long before I'm forced to succumb, but nearly a ton for choosing just a couple of examples means it'll eat up a much bigger chunk of money than my Minichamps buying habit was! I'll resent having to give other things up in order to plough all my money into Neos! Maybe I'll have to keep looking out for second hand examples...

I've looked at that set many times & pondered if it was worth stumping up for purely because of the Allegro in lurid green, as I'm not bothered about the Austin 1800. I have the hidden treasures one, that's good enough for me! :) But then the 1750 SS in turquoise came out & suddenly the bright green one didn't feel as urgent!

I love the early split grille'd Marina, it gives the car such a different look, so I was thrilled to add a model of one in harvest gold to my collection. I don't think they've done many of the early type grille ones, in fact the harvest gold one is the only one I can picture! I have the Tagora in black.

I don't know if it's still the case, but I didn't think they were allowed to as Richmond Toys got in there first more's the pity & held the rights to make models of it....or something like that.

The amount of things ive got through bad listings is quite funny, but i feel sorry for the seller too.I might take that gold SD1, if it stays below £3.The transcontinental came today, such a large model, what sort of scale is it?
