seth
We trundled up to Stoneleigh yesterday for the restoration show/jumble. Some quality tat spots in the bit where we parked A lovely pair of old English cars. I hope the MK2 owner found lots of useful parts These two were in the for sale section inside. £395 for the Citroen(MOT May 08). £495 for the Astra (MOT Oct 08). I've photos of the adverts if anyone wants the phone numbers....
MrRegieRitmo
That's a 10 on the shite factor richter scale! Thanks for that high level shite spot
KruJoe
I'm loving that Maxi, even in it's strange 90's-looking colour. Any similarities? No? Just me. I'll get my coat... "TAXI!" .
MrRegieRitmo
Probably on the inside & underneath!
michiel
That 90 looks very good for an 80's Alfa! The Mitsuoka looks almost like a weird photoshop of a squished MK2... odd things. Would love to build a mid-engined one with a 3.8 litre XK
Mat.T
damn i completely forgot about this show, i needed some bits too some nice spots there, i think the astra was for sale last year too
Alpineandy
I walked around there really unimpressed by it all. The autojumble is very large but so 'main stream british' it's scary, whilst the 'show' bit was very very weak.
wuvvum
That CX looks like it could be a bargain. If the DS makes a half-decent amount I might well be into that.
seth
There was at least one other Mitsuoka there too. Perhaps they're getting acceptable as "winter drivers" for real Jag owners? We had a pretty good rummage round and picked up quite a few bits including a decidedly non English ball joint for the Saab, chassis outrigger for the Herald and MGB rear telescopic shock conversion bits that will hopefully work on the Oxford for a fiver. michiel
Ha, I'd love one of each with 'my summer car is a real MK2'/'my other car is a Mitsuoka' stickers.
pogweasel
"WBH" indicates a Luton registration. Ex-brochure/press car? Or a survivor of the (very generous) employee perks scheme?
