Spottedlaurel
Glad you liked that 21. Pretty sure it was still there when we visited again in 2014 (on my backwards journey I'll probably stumble across another photo of it). Cheers for these, SL! Always a pleasure to see....No worries. You won't get dramatic collection or repair/restoration threads from me, but I can pick up a camera and point it at something appropriate. Wow, a 3dr Mk3 Ghia! Jon
This Visa looks interesting: Appears to be on Visa GTi alloys (repainted) and the driver's headlight cluster is a GTi one but the passenger side is different - perhaps Moretti? It means there could be a chance to bag a pair if I ever break mine, as the original clusters are very scarce. Or maybe 3D printing will help me out if/when it becomes more accessible or affordable for larger bits.
wuvvum
Those SG2 Saviems are a great old bus. Also, I don't think I've seen such an early Starion - that's got to be one of the very first imported? Lovely old font plate, too. I bet you were quite excited to find out about that other Datsun 1200! I know I would've been; Datsun stuff is not so easy to find here funnily enough, if you don't count the light commercials up to the late 80's. Wheels on the Serena are actually off an early '80s Datsun 280C, for added obscurity. I'm guessing that was something that previously got raced. Yes, very pleased to see that other 1200. Amazing to think what might still be out there! There is another one locally, a LHD Portugese import that's been in the country for some years. One day, one day...... 1984 Mitsubishi L300 Colt Bravo camper by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Whoa! 1988 Suzuki SJ413 VJX by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Never seen this before, but I must have very regularly driven past wherever it was stored for the last seven years. I'm making the assumption that it was being taken away, but of course it's possible it was being delivered? 1970 Morris Mini 1000 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr 1970 Triumph Herald 13/60 Convertible by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Both the same age as me and with plenty of patina. 1987 Ford Mustang Convertible by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr These are RWD, so why did they give the nose FWD levels of overhang? 1984 Ford Escort 1.3L by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr 1984 Ford Escort 1.3L by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr A definite two-shotter here. Had seen it once or twice around the town where it was sold new, a quick chat with the driver revealed he'd owned it all of its life. 1991 Fiat Panda Dance by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr This was a regular sight for some years. Magnificent Rustbucket
Mercedes 280SE (W116) by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr As was noted on Flickr, this one has no reverse lights - why? I have seen a W116 with orange reversing lights a couple of times before, but not for a LONG time. I'm not sure why they were done like this, but this site selling a 1973 car http://www.ruylclassics.nl/mercedes280seoranje_de.htm states that cars with orange reversing lights are 'rare pre-series cars'. wuvvum
Loving the 700 van. Must be the 'other' one that's on the road, besides the formerly-mine-now-jollyfckr's one. Shudder to think how slow one of those must be with 4wd. mouseflakes

Spottedlaurel
Cheers all! It should be noted that what you're seeing here is a heavily edited selection of what I have on Flickr, I'm cutting out a lot of the '90s bilge, show/event photos etc. Interesting info, thank you. Useless to me of course, but still just the sort of thing it's good to learn. 1988 Austin Metro Studio 2 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Shame to see with mild biffage. A few years back it was in the car park at a local show and it looked fine then. 1971 Volvo 144 DL by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Sorry, another 144. 1981 Mercedes 280SL by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Odd colour and wheel choice on this one. 1987 Mercedes 508D SWB by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Stumpy. Apparently a former ambulance. 1984 Audi 80 Sport by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Often interesting things on this forecourt, aside from the TVRs which must keep them pretty busy. Imp selection by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr I believe this place is operated by an Imp specialist, probably known to some on here. 1999 Fiat Brava 1.3 SX by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr OK, this is undoubtedly ‘90s bilge but still worthwhile. Little surprise to find it’s no longer on DVLA. 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 GLXi auto 'Mirage' by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Obscure. Sales must have been very limited by this time in its life. 1994 Volvo 960 3.0 24v Auto Estate by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Spyshot through the foliage #1. 1984 Lotus Eclat Excel 1.8 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr A bit odd – DVLA gave the engine size as 1800cc so presumably it’s been re-enginised at some point. But with what? Suitably miserable suggestions gratefully received,BMC B-series perhaps? 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 3.4 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 3.4 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Hmmmmm….. Comparison #1: Citroen BX vs Vauxhall Cavalier LS 1.7TD by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Comparison #2: Peugeot 405 GRD vs Ford Mondeo GLX by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Live out your early 1990s sales rep fantasies here. I was never a rep proper but did a fair few miles in examples of all but the BX borrowed from my sales colleagues back in the mid-late ‘90s. 1992 Renault 25 2.0 TXE Executive auto by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr I wouldn’t get too excited about one of these Phase 2 models in France, but quite something here. 1978 Ford Cortina 2.0 Ghia Mk4 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr Kind of a shame that the Cortina wasn’t also a Mk5 Crusader so it matched the caravan, but then again it’s even better to see a Mk4. I believe there is a PC Cresta behind the caravan – some years ago this was a very tidy car formerly owned by a chap who’d passed away (he also had a Laurel that I ended up buying through his son who I knew). I wish now that I’d made an offer myself for the Vauxhall, as it got taken to bits for some reason and has sat there ever since. 1972 Citroen DS by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr This poor thing was just up the road from the Cortina. I think it has gone now. 1993 Nissan 200SX (S13) by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr 1994 Nissan 100NX (B13) by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr 1996 Vauxhall Calibra SE6 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr I’ll conclude things for now with this compare and contrast ‘90s coupe selection. The 200SX is still there and is sat on the same road as the DS and Cortina. vulgalour, Magnificent Rustbucket, worldofceri and 3 others

Spottedlaurel
That Monte Carlo is the worst thing I've seen all week.Yes, sorry about that one. I should have put a warning in the thread before letting people just scroll down onto it.
