Hi im new here, niel up top showed me the link yesterday, that shed of a yellow van is mine, its a beast. gonna have to watch her if people are taking sneaky snaps while im at work. :D

Welcome! Hope you don't mind about the van being posted, can take it off if you like. I do try to be careful about not saying where things are too precisely - all I will say is that wasn't the sort of thing I'd expect to see parked up at that establishment :wink:

defo not the sort of car. haha they love it though, would you believe i work on the boyracer area aswell. they dont agree.

Magnette does like quite nice. I like the black Saab on the Inca wheels too. Oh, and Katie thinks she saw an Ami estate today quite close to home! :D

Excellent pictures - they remind me of classic car shows in the early 80s when you could expect to see a good number of obscure cars turn up, often in absolutely hanging condition. Somehow, a field full of over restored MGBs and Morris Minors all with their period picnic hampers open on the back seat doesn't have quite the same appeal. Even worse if the owners attempt to 'dress the part' - ugh.

I often find that the variety of cars in the classics car park at Newark autojumble is much more interesting than a lot of the shows I've been to and the cars are obviously used and enjoyed.Actually, since the jumble is pretty much pants these days it's the highlight of the event :roll:

Wow, that subaru is pretty tidy, high roof 1800GL like mine. Cant wait for mine to hit the road, I have had the engine out and fixed the tappets + clutch, putting a pair of new front wings on it at the moment, I am optimistic that its gonna turn into a nice machine when I have finished fannying about with it..

The caravan looks like a Carlight, which is supposed to be the Rolls Royce of caravans. If that's in any kind of decent condition it'll be worth a fortune.

That caravan does look a lovely thing- nice to see a more interesting colour scheme. But, those Carlight all look to have a two piece, raked windscreen rather than the flat one piece affair on this one.

Great spotting as ever. I am particularly enamoured by the ornamental Allegro and the rather picturesque architechture on display in pic 5. Is it a Lutyens? No?..... oh....

Yay!! Six weeks after notifying my suppliers of the move, I'm finally back online at the new place. That should slow down productivity on the house and garden nicely...

The view outside my old front door in early February. R5 was Wuvvum's and the Accord is now with Mash. Fortunately the Laurel hardtop won't have to sit outside in weather like this any more.

Owner of this very odd, some lady in her 50s/60s who seemed to be having a problem and was being assisted to the car by staff. Hence no shot of the front end, which would have shown the nicely peeling bonnet.

Regularly see this delightfully crusty line-up as the classic garage they live at is in the next village to us and the farm shop shares their car park. All still there some two months from taking this, turnover a bit slow.

My first post-move spot, what a way to start! Judging from where else I've seen it parked up, belongs to some new-agey kind of traveller guy. My Ladybird books on commercial vehicles are still packed away, is this a Commer or Bedford?

Still more to come, but it's taking me all bloomin' day to get the above done (interspersed with family visits and house/garden stuff including pumping out the septic tank - country life).

I know what you mean about these things, but even 10 years ago a Sunny of the same age would have possibly tempted us with leaving contact details. I wouldn't even dream of stalking the owner of this car.

Is that a earlier Carlton mk2 next to the expired senator? It wouldn't surprise me if that Senator was used by the police once.

That 309 is astonishingly clean, I used to drive a light blue D reg one for a while, quite nice to drive really.

Mk2_Craig, I hadn’t noticed the Minor being on an S-plate. Old style one plate, probably dates from the time when if they gave a car a new number (reimported or whatever) it was just whatever was current, not age-related.Predictably, Minors seem to be their thing there. I don’t know if those prices include an MoT, but all of that line-up will need major work fairly soon I would say. They run a Maestro van for the business.DC, yes the other car behind the Senator was a Carlton. Possibly coincidence, but some years ago there was another local farm that had a Monza rotting away in the weeds.About 309s, I like them too. Never driven one of the smaller-engined versions but the 1.6GR I eventually wrote off was very pleasant despite its slightly dubious history. I’d happily have a late TD for work duties but as the Camry fulfils so many roles very well right now I’m in no hurry to add anything sensible to the fleet.

Sweet shots. The lorry's an Austin/Morris, I think a WE or WF. They carried on making them right until 1981 although the cabin design is from the mid '50s.

Wahey, what a car! Note manual one too, and a suitably elderly driver (visible in the bottom shot, that's not me). Think Baz or Wuv's have snapped this before but I managed to catch up with the owner. Nice old boy, had it 18 years or so. Going to help him with one or two bits, hopefully in return it will end up here when he no longer needs it or the MoT gets too much hassle.

Land Rovers of varying descriptions come and go at this place. It's just up the road from where I saw the green (old) R-reg Lada estate that Wuvvum saw in Norwich one night. I described it to new AS recruit TheScrapman and he saw it in Ipswich not long after. Clearly being used well.

That Justy is in an unusual colour. Their numbers seem to be depleting quickly, I haven't seen any on the road for a while but I did see a completely rotten/bumperless van being used as a farm hack.

I possibly think the "stock car" is a Mk2 Polo Coupe - look at the shape of the door handles (or at least where they mount), the bonnet's leading edge, the rear pillars and the front wheel is defo VW.Great haul as ever, SL.

I would tend to agree these days that a stock standard mk2 Fiesta is a more pleasing sight than one with XR2 pepperpots wanged on, etc. Nice colour though. As I'm rapidly turning into a numberplate nazi I don't mind admitting my thorough dislike for those fitted to this car, how many Ford ovals do you need FFS.
