fotorabia
because the latest bee in the bonnet is to buy the Vanguard 6 off the landlord..i decided to email the young guy i arranged the sale with..and this is the reply that i got... Hi there Rab, sadly Harley (whom you bought the car off)passed away a fortnight ago of an apparent heart attackwhile playing indoor cricket with his mates. He was 8 weeksoff his 20th Birthday. We are devastated as he is our onlychild.Anyway, he chose to paint it matt black just because hecould! It was done one weekend when we were away!! He hadhuge plans for that Vanguard. It was going to be lowered, have a V8 put in it and mag wheels added of course, you knowhow it is when your young! After he sold you the Vanguard hewent on to purchase a Mazda 323 wagon with a rotary enginein it. The day he bought it the wheel fell off when he droveit and he continued to have problems with it for the 12months he owned it. Not engine problems, that is mint, butprobs with the diff, gearbox etc. They weren't strong enoughto handle the engine. He drove it for maybe three weeks intotal from the time he owned it, poor bugger. We are pickingit up this weekend from his flat and his mates are going tohelp us assemble it and put it on Trademe eventually. I canemail you some photos of it if your interested, being hisMum I'm not qualified enough in boy racer cars! His Dad cantell you all about it.Anyway if his Dad can think of any history behind the mightyVanguard then we will let you know.RegardsTracy Porteous, Harleys Mum. man that floored me..i nearly burst into tears..still am! ok..todays spots..superb Granny racer Fiat 128 with stick on wheel blings and front to back authentic crotchet seat covers..ill adopt her for this..Honda CivicEl Camino for saleRestorations Unlimited work truck..I tonne Holden HQ flatdeckwho are restoring this MkV Jag..and this Morrie 8 Tourer..local funeral parlour owns 'Last of the Summer Wine' Austin 16?
