RENOMAD
Is it me,,,or is the supply of ol Renaults,Citroens and Peugeots Drying up.For the best part of a year I have been looking for a few Renaults which I have failed to find.R17------found one but felt it wasn't QUITE good enough,,taking the "if there is one there has to be more" route------- I havn't seen one since R12----FOUND A FEW,,,but all seem to be mk2 autos---I want a mk1 but has to be good.I think that I have come to the Renault Table about 5 years too late,John

Mash
I went past this place on the autoroute yesterday on the way back to Lyon. The website doesn't do justice to the old tat they have piled up outside. Annoyingly I was travelling for work and a passenger at the time so unable to stop but there were tantalising glimpses of all sorts of gems http://www.autoretro38.fr/article1.aspx?garage
Volksy
17's were rare when they were new, so i'm not surprised there arn't many about.
MrRegieRitmo
No but I am surprised that 15s seem to be cropping up more often or does it just seem that way? There seems to be more 15s about than there has any right to be considering I'd heard people were breaking 15s in order to keep their 17s on the road! Mr_Bo11ox
Yeah stop grumbling Rennamad! The stuff is out there, you just gotta hunt it down and be patient!
marinast
Renaults, Pugs and Citroens like that were rare back in 1995 when I passed my test and was looking for an interesting old car, let alone in 2008!Don't forget too that the UK is not the best place to see old French tin, after ten years most is unceremoniously scrapped or bangered. We seem difficult to look after our own car heritage, let alone foreign stuff.High prices/difficulty in obtaining parts is another factor, I'd love a Renault 12 but most had dissolved by the late 1980s along with a raft of other stuff. (Talbots, Chryslers etc all seemed to disappear around the same time)I too say keep looking, you never know what will crop up, it's part of the fun after all! monzaE
Don't mean to hi-jack the thread but thought this was related. Here are some spots from my holiday in France. The Mini, Audi and Peugeot were all on the same car park and looked like they hadn't moved for a while. Non shite Merc.

andrew e
As an aside whilst lost in Longbridge last week I clococked a bright green 15 or 17 parked on a driveway. Unfortunately I was late so I shamefully never stopped and snapped.
RENOMAD
Ok--I'm not grumbling,,well not really anyway I'm just not very patient,,,but I might try and find out about this,,though I'm very aware that old stuff makes BIG money in its homeland,NOT SO SURE ABOUT THE "PRUNE" COLOUR THOUGH!
