Spottedlaurel
I’d dearly like to as it’s so local, but with so much needing to be done on the house I can’t afford to lose another day. Be a nice spectacle for sure, but I doubt there’ll be any bargains appropriate to me with current scrap prices and the local export/racing people likely to be there.I expect much of what’s there will end up at a Mildenhall pre-70 meeting…

wuvvum
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!Why does life keep tempting me so? Just when I've got the money together for my holiday next month, something like this comes along to throw a spanner in the works. There's a sidevalve Minx and a couple of pre-war Vauxhall Tens which are calling to me, and I'd love the Anglia van too but that will probably sell for a million pounds. I'm going to have to get very, very drunk on Saturday night so I'm so hung over on Sunday that I can't make it down there.

pogweasel
I am planning to go (breakdowns nervous or mechanical notwithstanding). I paid off all my Credz cardz last week. Oh dear. Could get messy. There's a load of Rootes grot that would look smashing dumped in the barn wit' t'others.

55bloke
CHRIST!!!! That's absolutley ASTONISHING!! If only I had acres of space and a bottomless well of cash!! Anyone know the full story? Who put them all there, and why? Wonder what sort of nick they're in? The Mk 1 and 2 Cortinas would be my 1st choice, but will probably go for stupid money. The Reverend Bluejeans
Why do old Cortinas make so much money? Forgive me if I remember them as very average cars depriving a foundry of a good feed. Surely there are more deserving cars to save than some manky Cortina Estate?

Surely there are more deserving cars to save than some manky Cortina Estate? I guess you could ask the same question of any "classic" that was once just your average family car. Why Escorts, for God's sake? It must be something to do with their initial popularity and hence being fondly remembered, plus inherently good looks, and then that ceratin "something" that some cars have, and some just don't. The automotivce equivalent of charisma.

Timewaster
Been, seen, sunburnt! If I had a wad in my pocket. the 2 NSU Ro80's would have been mine.God only knows what I would have done with them.Saw a lot of faces I recognised, some for the wrong reasons but one pleasant supprise was Dom, an ex colleage who stumped up £320 for the green Mk1 cortina which he intends to hill climb. Dunno if he was brave or stupid. Tis a fine line.

Timewaster
The wasn't much that could be put back on the road very easily!"tontops" wasn't my first choice of username, but I had no end of problems getting registered.Initially, just after the Sierra that lasted a day, and the Rover 600 that lasted 2 weeks I went for "Captain Calamity"
