pompei
My father in law is getting a 5 year old Jag to replace his P reg Camry V6. The dealer offered him £100 for it It's in lovely conditiuon with ticket till Jan 09, full bull interior, Oz alloys and 4 new tyres ...FIL says the brakes judder when stopping hard from 80, but not at any other time, and some elecs are dodgy. It's also due belts.Whilst not advocating this, he could weigh it in for more than that (which is probably what the dealer will do) or flog it on ebay (but he doesn't want the hassle) Just as I was going to do the decent thing, in steps bro-in-law, pissed, and not eaten for two days (you know the type ) and FIL is going to gift it to him. F*** knows how he'll pay for tax/insurance/petrol etc (he said he wouldn't bother to service it, what's the point?) and it's my bet that in three months it'll be trashed or scrapped.Beloved was at work at the time, and is now on the blower to FIL giving him a flea in his ear! So there may be a remote possibility it'll end up on our drive, and the Lexus can go (hurrah) Families, eh, who'd have 'em?
r.welfare
Get on it! 90s Jap FWD V6s are great fun for vapourising the front tyres in clouds of smoke, at least until the autobox explodes. But as it's a Camry, it'll probably be fine. 50 million American owners can't be wrong!
pogweasel
Angry! Aren't those V6's trouble all over? In the gearbox dept anyway. Amazing that given current KRUSHA prices main stealers are still offering such crud trade-ins.
