Base plate to be glued once paint has cured, and maybe glass unit to be re-instated, maybe. Faults hidden from the camera's eye as per! base plate is stripped back RayMK, Conrad D. I've painted on paint stripper, one I posted about a while back, and left for 12-24 hours - by which time it's had enough of an effect to get most of it off, then it's wire wool by hand and then polish.
