quicksilver
I'm doing well for expanding my 1/72 collection recently. This one has just arrived. It's a Real-X and good ones go for very strong money. This one looked a bit battered and was missing its wheel hubs but was cheap at £2.99 or best offer. It's scrubbed up well as what I thought were chips and scratches on the bonnet turned out to be dirt that soon wiped off and I found a suitable set of hubs in my bits box. There are still a few small chips here and there but for what I paid I'm well chuffed. Felly Magic
I finally sussed how to get a Minichamps Ford Escort mk3 to bits, it is now no longer a south paw!! Need to get some light grey paint though for the dash. Note the slight pimping so it is no longer in buttery biscuit base flavour egg, Split_Pin, Burnside and 2 others
Junkman
There has been some warped plastic influx. "Jimmy" Mieusset's race car transporter: Here he and Jacques Lafitte are presented with models by Joseph Veron: I've known Jimmy for decades and he still is a keen miniature shite collector. However, his main hoarding emphasis is on his pinball machines. I often wondered whether this morphed from their original Vedette tooling: I mean this one: R4F4: A lot of Berliet for a very small load: In Norev terms this is straight: 59Impala, mercrocker, junkyarddog and 9 others
mercrocker
Blimey, there is some kit there, though. I still have that trailer - mine came with a Fiat Dino Coupe pulling a Ferrari 275GTB4. Except for the trailer, it all warped spectacularly, the Fiat actually shed one of its opening panels (I forget which ) whilst in my bookcase at home. Junkman
I think that trailer originally never came with the Vedette Depanneuse.I just found it that way. The trailer came with several other cars and always had a race car on it.Speaking of race cars, I now need Jimmy's Chevron B23 in plastic, not an easy task. morrisoxide
I picked this lot up (four for a pound) I didn't know Majorette made an Olds. I couldn't turn it down The scimitars sun roof was badly cracked so I covered it up with white electrical tape (it can be removed)I also made a cover for the Ford dog van out of black electrical tape. Split_Pin
That Oldsmobile is quite hard to find in the UK. I lost mine as a child but still had the boat and trailer. I had to buy one from France as a replacement. Its an Oldsmobile Omega, a relatively obscure and unloved car even in the US. A French model of it is ace therefore! eddyramrod, morrisoxide and mercrocker

Junkman
It does indeed! But now I have an even bigger problem.I found out that this company made another kit, a Renault/Saviem Goelette/SG2 for Chambourcy. It's not a toy making company at all, they just did those two as promotional items. Jon
Yo Junkie, why not have an original one of those 403s, like that one I found in a model shop in Auckland? Funnily enough, I'm off up there tomorrow, with time to kill, so may well pop in to the shop to see what they have lying around..... Junkman
Errrr... mine is an original! In fact, all of them are. Mine just happens to be in as new condition. However, I got it for less than half of what the shop in Auckland thinks its unboxed buildup is worth. Jon
Aah! Yours looked so nice, I thought it was a reproduction. Think I read your description wrong in all the excitement of seeing it - a promotional made by a not toy making company equated to a modern repro of an old Norev model in my fuddled mind. A double-whammy of wrongness though is that it isn't even a Norev! 0/10, must try harder, Jon. Go back two spaces. Junkman
