Shite in Miniature II

Split_Pin

Recommended Posts

My parents brought over another box of wrecks yesterday, I'll post some up. They were my uncles, and me and my brother also played with them at my grandparents house 30+ year's ago...

Not sure what I'm meant to do with them!

First this sad Plymouth taxi

*EDIT! R12, green Capri and matchbox Golfs sold*

Right, time for a small clearout of miniature shite!

First for sale, we have this,

Solido 1/43 Pug 205 GTi. Pretty much like the one in Datsuncog's clearout but the opposite colourway. Only been out for me to fit the red side strips, rear quarter badges and rear reflector panel thingy. Perfect aside from a bit of creasing to the cardboard outer sleeve and a small mark where the price tag was. Dont want to get rid of this really, but out of the Solidos, it was this or the Clio Williams. The Clio won.

£7 plus post?

Next up, an Onyx 1/43 Nissan Primera BTCC car, as driven by the great David Leslie.

A nicely detailed model, all the racing stuff inside, full cage, harnesses, extinguisher, etc. Only fault is the rear spoiler has been knocked off and glued on, with a small crack in said spoiler, for that authentic, 'close contact racing damage' look! Still displays nicely, only other fault is a crack in the clear display case.

£5 plus post

Next, a lovely little 1/43 Ixo Renner 5, gr2 1979 rally car. Another beautifully detailed model, with all the rally gear inside. Never had this out ofthe display case. The outer sleeve has gone a bit 'curly' with age otherwise mint.

£10 plus post?

Another lovely pair of 'sporty' Renners now. A 12 and 8 in French racing blue Gordini flavour. I think these might have been 1/43 Ixo/Altaya partwork jobs? Both mint, apart from a small chunk out of the clear display case on the 12. (I dont have much luck with acrylic display cases...)

£4 each or £7 the pair plus post

Another quality* late '90s Corgi Motoring Memories example now. The mk1 Escort. In pretty good condition and the packaging is pretty good. The number plate plinth got 'removed' from it's incorrect place under the bumper and some idiot (er,me) tidemarked the front and rear valances for that authentic* '70s Ford look.

Heritage.

£2 plus post

Dont see many of these about now, a Cararama mk1 Capri in 1/43 form. Looks pretty decent for a cheapie. Doors open and the front wheels steer for display purposes. Seats are a good attempt at the RS high back jobs. Rostyle wheels too!. Display box has seen better days, the clear plastic has yellowed and torn a bit and the screws are missing from the base so it's loose in the box. Model is near mint save for the chrome has gone a bit on the rear quarter bumpers.

£2 plus post.

And finally for now, two Matchbox VW Golf Countrys. Not only the hard to get hold of and already scene taxed green version.

But!

The new red version!

£5 plus post for both these little beasties.

Of course, postage combined for multiple purchases.

That dinky is glorious.

Just Gorgeous Mwaaahh!!!

JM that French Dinky is just beautiful!

Thanks!

It's absolutely glorious and arguably the best model they ever did.

Just to give you an idea of its complexity, the door cards of the front doors incorporate the hinges. They are thus made from diecast metal, painted red to match the red plastic.

The rear doors have plastic door cards, since they are hung by separate diecast hinges, which allow them to swivel inward at their leading edges, like real ones, so they can be opened while the front doors are closed.

The baseplate is engraved with full underbody detail, including the handbrake cables.
