Up next: pimp my plastic potted plant

Because, for £2.60, who can resist a model with a plastic pot plant in it?

It's a bit bare otherwise. Where are the violent brown floral patters and mis-matched Formicas I'd expect in a 1970s caravan?

Here they are.

That caravan interior looks brilliant, that 1:36 caravan looks mega now, nice 2.3 Ghia Sierra towcar, Corgi really got their money out of that casting, I remember getting a silver one in Sierra branded packaging, loved it, wish I'd funds and space to get a 1:36 Corgi collection again, I had loads as a kid, and I miss em

Mrs Rocker ordered an acrylic rack thingy to organise* her cosmetics.   Its got little uprights between each shelf to stop stuff clattering all over the bathroom so I was quite up for it.   Put it together for her tonight but suddenly a much better use for it has materialised...

The ones still having access to a memory may remember that I snatched this at a recent toy fair.

Well, today I received a parcel from that France.

It contained this:

Which enables me to do this:

But wait, that's not all!

In the haul containing the boat, there was also this:

It's my only Norev with a tow bar, so it's been relegated to do this:

But wait!

That's not all!

I also got this vintage Norev promotional kit:

They made bags from non warping plastic, matchbooks to enable kids to set their models on fire

and stickers to be stuck to white R16s!

Marvellous stuff!  I cannot compete with the quality, diversity and size of the JM collection but love the frequent updates and restorations.  I'll dig around in my ex-attic box and present a photo of a couple of rather battered Hubley Ford Model A's in due course, and/or anything else which distracts me before reaching the large scale layer.

I bought and constructed the attached Hubley Ford Model A 1/20th scale metal model kits sometime around 1966. Many moves and the passage of time has left them rather battered but, as they are screwed together with self tappers, repairs and restoration will be straightforward. Both have working steering and removable bonnet halves which reveal a reasonable representation of the engine.

Lovely thing, that OLLI isn't it though.....I actually had one, bought in Cherbourg on a school trip.   Don't know about warpage but this one practically bloody exploded like a clown car - doors dropped off, base fell out - all whilst sat in a bookcase!   My pal bought the Pompiers one and that was perfect - he probably still has it for all I know.
