Shite in Miniature II

Ive got that DS and I also had the Neoplan. When I was a kid I had a friend who used to go to Switzerland every summer and he would bring me back a model car. I no longer have the bus but I do have the first car he ever brought me back, a Wiking 1/87 split window Beetle in PTT livery. At the time I had never seen a midel car so small and accurately made and immediately loved it. Im glad I still have it.

Finally got some glass shelves into the shallow drawers to display some of the Oxford/Cararama models.

Slightly rough n' ready, but only for my own amusement. Glass frontage still to go on, then wall mounting. Planning on doing the same again for a few of the 1/43 models.

It's been a while since I inflicted my model purchases on you so here are a few recent ones. I do have some more stuff of the commercial vehicle variety that I'll also inflict on you as and when I can be arsed to sort them out. Some excellent stuff from your good selves of late too, love those Olds Vista wagons, wouldn't mind having a real one as I have a penchant for wagons having owned a few British and American types. And nothing to do with models but as I live not that far from the BBMF at Coningsby I've just had either a Spitfire or Hurricane fly low and fast over my house. A fine sound on a grey December day, cheered me up no end.

As promised/threatened these are my latest commercial type vehicle purchases plus a bargain BHM Rolls Silver Wraith cabriolet bought from that there Ebay for 30 quid, quite a saving as I think they are normally around eighty. The Dinky Bedford OB's are Code 3 conversions that have been beautifully done by someone with skills, he even makes the boxes.

This arrived today, Vanguards Mini 1275GT. No mirrors are fitted to it strangely, so nicked one from a DeAgostini Lada Niva. Made it look a bit better. Another to add to my collection of 1970s BLshite

Some* of you may* have noticed* that I posted relatively little here in the past few months.

The reality is that this is in stark contrast to the actual influx of new models.

For some odd reason I simply didn't manage to keep track of it all.

Would you like me to put aside all the important* stuff life currently throws at me and do a comprehensive update?
