So many great cars there, love all the Italian flavoured things & that Saab 99 coupe turbo at the end there!

Was there anything Renault flavoured there? :D

God looking back again there's loads of things I like there & would happily own besides what I've already mentioned!I love the Droop Snoot, the Datsun 260C (I think), the TVRs, the Rover SD1s, the VX 4/90 estates (I think), the bright yellow Taunus minus the inconsiderate old guy blocking it out, the Audi Quattros, & plenty of the stuff in the background not given a mention! I love nearly all of it! I take it this is a fairly major event then?

That looks like it was a damn good day out!! Personal fave has to be the Sunbeam Rapier- loverly motor. Loving the "subtle" mods to the SD1- I wonder if he's somehow going to cut the fat arches so he can actually open the rear doors?

In fact, it's more than that - it's an ultra-rare MkII Delta HF HPE (around a thousand made - cheers). Love the 131s too. And that Cerbera is hilariously shite.

I do like the Tatton park show and used to go quite a lot a few years back. Would have gone this year were it not that I was already away at the weekend.IIRC there is a second show at Tatton later in the year, September perhaps?

How did the hot MkII Delta compare with the hot MkIs, did it live up to their legend (obviously not over here they didn't!)? Was it a patch on an HF Turbo or Integrale?

I know a Lancia nut who ran one of these for quite a few years as a daily driver, he really liked it and reckoned they were pretty underrated. But they didn't get any marketing because Cantarella hated Lancia and starved them of resources during this period, hence the pathetic sales. The engine is slightly detuned integrale Evo (193bhp) which is fine, but obviously it's only FWD so it's no 'grale. But nearly 200bhp for a hot hatch was good going back in 1995 - interesting alternative to a Golf VR6 or something like that.

Sorry, Paolo Cantarella - head cheese at Fiat Auto back in the 1990s. Engine is the 2.0 16V turbo Lampredi twink out of the integrale/Thema 16V, and also pre-facelift Fiat Coupe Turbos. I always thought this generation of Delta looked a bit Alfasud-ish in profile...

Hmmm interesting! Well he might have not favoured Lancia but it seems he didn't care much for Alfa either as engines shared between Fiat & Lancia were not also being shared with Alfa as my 'hot' 146 also with a 2 litre only develops 155bhp which is quite a way short of the engine you've just described as going into the Fiat & Lancias! :?

These are great pics; I haven't been to Tatton for years. Always seems to be some quality stuff there - things you don't see very often. If there is a later show, I wouldn't mind getting a stand there for OJC actually.

It was a really good day out, loads of tat for sale on the autojumble as well.I went to see some Renaults I must admit as I love em, but alas not one was there  I have some more pics that the bread knife snapped to go on later as well.I had no idea what the Lancia was, you learn something new every day!

I only found out last year when I snapped one or two in Belgium & asked people on here what model they were. Somebody on here always has the answer you're looking for, I've learnt. It would be alot easier if Lancia just badged the damn thing up!

I didn't know this was on.....poxy local rag had no mention of it at all and I'm only in Crewe.Would have gone on Saturday for sure....

To be fair there was an ad in the back of the free Guardian in Crewe. Though you'd have needed a magnifying glass or Action Man "Eagle Eyes" to see it.
