  1. Past hour
  2. The 'blue line' appears to be the outer cable for the temp control, and is fixed. The inner cable should slide through it, and if you disconnect it from the valve may still slide. If it's seized, you might find you can operate the valve manuall, if the valve isn't stuck solid. Investigation is the only way.
  3. Yes - the P900 project would have been introduced as the Daf 77 in 1975, but when Volvo took over the introduction was delayed for a bit, some modifications were made, and the end result was the 300 series we are all probably familiar with! Some older prototypes:
  4. +1 It’s absolutely pathetic childish behaviour being like that. What a bitter little wanker! If you don’t want the item to go for 99p on eBay… then don’t start it at 99p!?! Not difficult really.
  5. Some people really are utter wankers, I do wonder how folk are happy to be like that.
  6. That's looking sorry for itself its definatly getting worse every time it pops up on a 'spotted' thread. Years ago I used to see it at the Fins & Chrome show parked alongside my Dad's mates old 63 Monterey and what is now my 64 Montclair. Here it is in happier days.🥹
  7. The withdrawn brochure page for the stillborn 1936 Opel Kapitän and Admiral
  8. Pretty sure the clutch doesn't have a servo.
  9. Today
  10. Maybe something wrong with me, but out of that line up the 940 is the one I'd most like to drive away in!
  11. The stillborn and missing link 1961 Opel Admiral, outside Cologne
  12. You've found a smoking gun there surely. Wrong head gasket. It'll be reet now.
  13. Gasket arrived today (thanks, Royal Snail). I've bunged it straight on and have bolted most things back into place but it started drizzling plus Master Grogee needs feeding so I've stopped for now. I'll be doing a compression test before anything else because it'll be interesting to see if the compression is improved and maybe it'll change after getting hot/being run. It also has the added benefit of getting the oil pressure up before firing it up properly. It'll be nice if I can get a healthy running car back but I'm skeptical after all this fucking about. Plan C would be to source an engine. I did find one for £75 but it's in Pompey, plus there's the added faff of needing to get hold of an engine crane.
  14. 1955 rover fastback coupe beside lake como, brochure art
  15. The stillborn 1986 Ford Thunderbird, missing from the timeline, so would have been the Eleventh Generation Thunderbird instead of that 1992 retro-effort
  16. Ford's 1988 KA Kei Coupe, rendered on the Atari ST
  17. 19th Century engraving of a Horse-drawn Urn sales van by Hillman Brothers, in Kensington High Street London
  18. This afternoon, top down red Merc SL and TVR Chimaera, a Series 1 Discovery on a trailer then a Series 2 LR.
  19. A mere Supersnipe I would want an Imperial!
  20. The Albion Works Electric Milk Float, out in Kensington in 1964
  21. Rover's Electric Milk Float, out in Kensington in 1955
